Exciting news for G-Shock enthusiasts—Casio is set to launch two new models in their G-Squad GBD-200 series. These highly anticipated timepieces build on the legacy of the GBD-200-1, offering enhancements like an updated MIP display.
Unlike their predecessors, which featured darker displays, the new models will introduce a lighter, positive display. The GBD-200-1A1 comes with a sleek black resin casing, while the GBD-200-7A offers a crisp white resin option. Both models recently surfaced on a Russian retailer’s site, hinting at their imminent release.
Packed with technology, these Bluetooth-enabled watches allow users to sync effortlessly with the Casio Watches smartphone app for seamless access to various tools and settings. They support connected GPS and can receive call and message notifications, making them perfect for those on the go.
Fitness enthusiasts will appreciate features like workout tracking, covering distance, speed, pace, and calorie counting. Additionally, these models support world time, include a stopwatch, timer, and multiple daily alarms. They’re also equipped with an integrated backlight and Power Saving mode.
Designed for durability, these watches are expected to be water-resistant up to 200 meters and boast an impressive two-year battery life with easy replacement.
While exact release dates remain under wraps, the GBD-200-1A1 and GBD-200-7A are anticipated to launch in late 2025, priced around €139 and €159 in Europe. If they debut before the next GMW-BZ5000 model, they’ll be pioneers as the first G-Shock watches with a positive MIP display. This launch is sure to attract both long-time fans and new customers eager to experience the latest in watch technology.
