Both variants boast the same port and memory options, featuring two SO-DIMM slots that can handle up to an impressive 128 GB of DDR5 RAM. There is, however, a difference in RAM speed—while the Core Ultra 5 125H supports speeds up to 5,600 MT/s, the Core Ultra 9 285H can soar to 6,400 MT/s.

For storage, both versions include two M.2 2280 slots, accommodating a hefty total of up to 4 TB of PCIe 4.0 x4 storage. The front and rear ports are identical in both units, providing versatility in connectivity.

Price-wise, the M1 Pro with Core Ultra 5 125H starts at $383 as a barebones kit, while the Core Ultra 9 285H version begins at $695.
