The Galaxy A56 5G has finally touched down in the US, a full four months after its initial release elsewhere. This Android smartphone is now available for purchase through Samsung and Amazon, but don’t expect any enticing offers just yet.
After much anticipation, the Galaxy A56 5G has launched stateside, marking a significant release since the previous Galaxy A55 5G didn’t make it to US shores. Despite concerns that history might repeat itself, the A56 is now officially available.
Samsung offers the A56 in two storage configurations: a 128GB model priced at $499.99 and a 256GB version for $549.99, both featuring 8GB of RAM. Though Samsung isn’t bundling any major perks, buyers can enjoy a 40% discount on the Galaxy Buds FE when purchasing the phone.
The Galaxy A56 5G sports a stunning Gorilla Glass Victus+ display. Available in Lightgray and Graphite, Amazon adds a third option into the mix with Olive.
Competing in a crowded market, the A56 goes head-to-head with contenders like the Pixel 9a, starting at the same $499.99 price for the 128GB model, and also the OnePlus 13R, currently available at a discounted rate.
Despite the fierce competition, the Galaxy A56 5G stands out with its premium features: a robust build, IP67 dust and water resistance, and significant enhancements in camera quality, performance, and battery life over its predecessor.
Samsung assures that the Galaxy A56 5G will receive six OS upgrades and six years of security updates, placing it at the forefront in terms of longevity and support, rivaled only by the Pixel 9a in its class.
