Vivo X500 Leak Points to a Different Zeiss Camera Design for the Standard Model
The Vivo X500 series is starting to generate buzz ahead of its expected launch, and the latest leak suggests Vivo may be preparing a noticeable design split between the regular Vivo X500 and the higher-end Vivo X500 Pro models.
New images reportedly shared on Chinese social media appear to show the rear design of the upcoming phones. While their authenticity remains uncertain, they offer an interesting look at how Vivo could differentiate the base model from the Pro variants, especially in terms of camera styling.
The Vivo X500 Pro and possible Vivo X500 Pro Max seem to keep the familiar Zeiss-inspired camera layout seen in previous flagship Vivo phones. Based on the leaked images, these models may feature a large circular camera island positioned in the center of the rear panel. This design matches earlier real-world sightings and keeps the premium look that Vivo’s camera-focused flagships are known for.
The standard Vivo X500, however, may take a different approach. The latest leak suggests the base model could feature a smaller circular camera module placed toward the left side of the back panel. That would make it visually distinct from the Pro models and could help Vivo create a clearer separation between its standard and premium devices.
That said, there are several reasons to be cautious about these images. Some visual details look unusual, including a distorted Zeiss logo that may indicate AI upscaling or image manipulation. The alleged Vivo X500 render also shows two LED flashes, with one inside the circular camera module and another positioned on a camera platform to the right. Even more questionable is what appears to be a fourth camera in the upper-right area, which does not seem to fit logically with the rest of the design.
Because of these odd elements, the leaked Vivo X500 image may be a prototype, a heavily edited render, or possibly an AI-generated fake. While the Pro model images appear more believable due to their similarity to earlier real-life sightings, the standard model design should be treated with skepticism for now.
If Vivo does move forward with this design direction, it would mark an interesting shift for the X500 lineup. A centered circular camera module for the Vivo X500 Pro models would maintain the brand’s established flagship identity, while a smaller off-center camera layout for the regular Vivo X500 could give the phone a more compact and mainstream appearance.
There is also some debate over whether Vivo would add a raised camera platform to the base X500. Similar design choices are often reserved for higher-end smartphone models from major brands, making it somewhat surprising if Vivo used such a look on the standard version.
For now, the Vivo X500 camera design remains unconfirmed. The leaks suggest that Vivo may be experimenting with different rear camera layouts across the X500 series, but the questionable details in the images mean fans should wait for more reliable photos or official teasers before drawing firm conclusions.
