Super Shout Showdown

Super Shout Showdown Turns Your Voice Into Anime Spellcasting Power

Super Shout Showdown Demo Lets Players Cast Anime Spells With Their Voice

Indie developer Rezero Studio has launched the first playable demo for Super Shout Showdown, an anime-inspired arena battle game with a standout twist: players cast spells by shouting them out loud.

Instead of relying only on standard attack buttons or preset magical abilities, Super Shout Showdown lets players create their own spell incantations. You can speak, type, or tap your chosen phrases to unleash attacks in fast-paced battles against other players. The result is a chaotic, funny, and highly customizable anime fighting experience where your imagination becomes part of the combat system.

The game features more than 25 spells to learn, combine, and master. Players can fire off huge energy blasts, teleport across the battlefield, strike enemies with powerful melee attacks, freeze opponents with ice, burn them with fire, blind them with darkness, or unleash devastating ultimate moves. Each spell can be tied to a custom chant, allowing players to make their attacks sound dramatic, absurd, intimidating, or completely ridiculous.

One of the biggest highlights is Shouting Mode, where players use their real voice to cast spells like an over-the-top anime character. The louder and more committed the delivery, the more entertaining the battle becomes. For players who prefer not to use a microphone, Super Shout Showdown also includes Typing Mode, which allows spells to be cast by entering incantations during combat. There is also Tapping Mode for players using a mouse or controller, focusing more on timing and precision.

Super Shout Showdown supports multiple battle formats. Duel mode puts two players against each other in a one-on-one fight to determine who is the stronger spellcaster. Team Battle mode lets players coordinate with allies, combine spell effects, and work together to win. Free-for-All mode brings even more chaos, allowing up to 16 players to battle on a large map where attacks can come from every direction.

The game also includes VRoid avatar integration, giving players the option to bring their own custom characters into the arena. Players can design an avatar through VRoid or use permitted avatars from VRoid Hub, adding a personal touch to every match. Other players will be able to see these avatars if they have also connected their VRoid Hub account.

Super Shout Showdown is also being prepared for a wide audience, with localization support for English, Indonesian, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.

With its mix of anime-style action, voice-controlled spellcasting, customizable incantations, and unpredictable multiplayer battles, Super Shout Showdown is shaping up to be a unique party fighter for players who want something loud, funny, and full of personality. The first demo is available now on Steam.
