OnePlus Compact OLED Tablet Tipped for Global Launch With Snapdragon Power and 144Hz Display
OnePlus may be getting ready to expand its tablet lineup with a new compact Android tablet aimed at global markets. While the company recently introduced the OnePlus Pad 4 as its larger flagship model, a fresh leak suggests a smaller and more premium-looking device could be on the way, complete with an OLED screen and high-end performance hardware.
According to the latest rumor, the upcoming OnePlus tablet may feature an 8.8-inch OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. That combination could make it especially appealing for users who want a smaller tablet for gaming, streaming, reading, and everyday productivity without sacrificing screen quality or smooth performance.
The device is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. This would place it firmly in the premium tablet category, even if it sits slightly below the top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 used in the larger OnePlus Pad 4. The rumored inclusion of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage also suggests that OnePlus may be targeting fast app loading, smooth multitasking, and strong gaming performance.
Camera details are also part of the leak. The compact OnePlus tablet may come with a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera. While tablets are not usually purchased for photography, a decent front camera could make the device useful for video calls, online classes, meetings, and casual selfies.
Battery life may be another strong point. The tablet is tipped to pack an 8,000mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging. If accurate, that would give the device enough endurance for long media sessions, travel, and work use, while also allowing users to recharge quickly when needed.
On the software side, the tablet could run OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16. That would likely bring OnePlus’ familiar software experience to a smaller tablet form factor, with features optimized for multitasking, entertainment, and cross-device connectivity.
Interestingly, the rumored specifications appear very similar to the Oppo Pad Mini, which launched in China earlier this year. Because of that, there is speculation that the new OnePlus compact tablet could be a rebranded version of Oppo’s device for international markets. This would not be surprising, as both brands have shared hardware platforms in the past.
The tablet is also rumored to launch in India sometime in the third quarter of 2026. However, OnePlus has not officially confirmed the device, its specifications, pricing, or release timeline. For now, these details should be treated as early information rather than confirmed facts.
If the leak turns out to be accurate, this compact OnePlus OLED tablet could become an exciting option for users looking for a powerful Android tablet in a smaller size. With a 144Hz OLED display, Snapdragon performance, fast storage, a large battery, and rapid charging, it could stand out as one of the more interesting premium compact tablets expected for global markets.
