Govee is gearing up to expand its smart outdoor lighting lineup with a brand-new product: the Outdoor Cylinder Pathway Lights. The upcoming lights have appeared on Govee’s US website in the company’s “Coming Soon” section, positioned alongside other not-yet-released outdoor options, including Outdoor Chromatic String Lights and Outdoor Solar String Lights.
From the early images, the Outdoor Cylinder Pathway Lights take a noticeably different approach compared with Govee’s previous pathway lighting designs. Each light features a cylindrical lamp sitting on top of a black stem, finished with a ground spike for easy placement along walkways, driveways, garden borders, or patios. The product photos suggest the illuminated section is significantly larger than the light source used on earlier Govee pathway models, hinting at a bolder look and potentially stronger visibility at night. However, Govee hasn’t confirmed how many lights will be included per set.
In terms of features, Govee is leaning heavily into customization. The Outdoor Cylinder Pathway Lights are confirmed to support both white lighting and full color, giving users access to 16 million colors. Through the Govee Home app, owners will be able to choose from more than 60 preset scene modes, and it’s also expected that custom lighting effects will be available for those who want to create their own look for holidays, gatherings, or everyday curb appeal.
Brightness is another major talking point. Govee says these pathway lights can reach up to 450 lumens, framing the product as “security-focused” and positioning it as a practical upgrade for households that want more than just decorative outdoor lighting. That level of brightness could make the lights especially appealing for highlighting paths and entrances, improving nighttime visibility, and adding an extra layer of presence around the home.
