Elegoo H1 HT Filament Dryer Launches With 85°C Drying, Touchscreen Controls, and $70 Price
Elegoo is expanding its 3D printing ecosystem with the launch of the H1 HT Filament Dryer, a standalone single-spool drying unit designed to help makers improve print quality by keeping filament moisture under control.
Moisture is one of the most common problems in 3D printing. Wet filament can lead to stringing, bubbling, weak layer adhesion, rough surfaces, and inconsistent extrusion. With the H1 HT, Elegoo is offering a budget-friendly solution for users who want better filament storage and drying without investing in a larger multi-spool system.
The new H1 HT arrives after Elegoo’s recent push into more advanced desktop 3D printing hardware, including its enclosed CoreXY machines and multicolor printing accessories. While those systems helped make higher-end features more affordable, filament drying remained an area where users often needed a separate solution. The H1 HT is designed to fill that gap.
The Elegoo H1 HT is a single-filament dryer with a compact design and a 3.5-inch full-color touchscreen. The display gives users access to drying controls, filament presets, and real-time status information in a more convenient way than basic button-based dryers.
It includes 11 preset filament modes, making it easier to dry common materials without manually adjusting every setting. Users working with less common materials can also create a custom preset, which gives the dryer more flexibility for different filament types and brands.
One of the key highlights is its maximum drying temperature of 85°C. That higher temperature makes the H1 HT suitable for a wider range of filaments, including materials that require more heat to dry properly. The dryer also monitors humidity levels, helping users better understand the condition of their filament during the drying process.
Elegoo has included a rear feed port, allowing filament to be dried and fed directly into a 3D printer. The package comes with both long and short PTFE tubes. The longer tube is intended for feeding filament directly into Elegoo’s Canvas system, while the shorter tube can be used for other setups. There is also an additional opening designed for TPU, a flexible filament that can be more sensitive to feeding paths and moisture.
For users with a Centauri or Centauri Carbon printer without a Canvas system, a single H1 HT dryer may be enough for basic printing needs. However, users who print with multiple materials or colors through the Canvas system may need more than one unit. Since the H1 HT only holds one spool at a time, drying four filaments simultaneously would require four separate dryers, each with its own power connection.
That may not be the most convenient option for users looking for a fully integrated multi-spool drying setup. At the moment, it is not clear whether Elegoo plans to release a larger four-spool drying enclosure in the future. Some competing brands already offer multi-spool filament dryers, so this could be an area where Elegoo expands later.
A major advantage of the H1 HT is that it is not locked to a single printer or filament ecosystem. Elegoo says the dryer can be used with any 3D printer and filament brand, which makes it a practical accessory for hobbyists, makers, and small workshops using mixed hardware setups.
The Elegoo H1 HT Filament Dryer is priced at $70. At launch, it is available through Elegoo’s official store. Availability may vary by region, and broader retail listings are not yet active at the time of writing.
For 3D printing users who regularly work with moisture-sensitive materials such as PETG, TPU, nylon, or certain high-temperature filaments, the H1 HT could be a useful and affordable upgrade. Its 85°C maximum drying temperature, touchscreen interface, humidity monitoring, and direct-feed design make it a strong option for improving print consistency without spending too much.
While multi-spool users may want a larger drying solution, the Elegoo H1 HT looks like a solid choice for anyone who needs a compact, single-spool filament dryer for everyday 3D printing.
