Govee is expanding its smart lighting lineup with two new floor lamps designed to make everyday rooms look better, feel cozier, and integrate more smoothly with modern smart homes. Announced May 7, 2026 in Bellevue, Washington, the new Govee Floor Lamp 3 and Govee Lantern Floor Lamp focus on higher color accuracy, more natural-looking whites, and smarter automation powered by Govee’s latest software features.
The headline product is the Govee Floor Lamp 3, positioned as the company’s new flagship smart floor lamp. It’s built around Govee’s proprietary LuminBlend+ color management technology, which is designed to improve color reproduction—especially the tricky, subtle shades people actually use at home, like pastels and natural tones. Govee says the lamp can render warm sunset-style colors and cooler ocean-like hues without color banding, even when dimmed down to 1% brightness. That matters for anyone who likes low, evening lighting but still wants smooth gradients and clean color rather than patchy transitions.
For white lighting, the Floor Lamp 3 also targets a wide range of real-world use cases, from relaxing night lighting to crisp daytime illumination. It offers a tunable white range from 1,000K to 10,000K, allowing it to shift from candlelight-warm ambience all the way to bright, daylight-style whites.
One of its most practical upgrades is coverage. The Floor Lamp 3 uses a 170° double-sided skyline wall-wash design that throws light across a wider section of the wall than typical floor lamps, helping a single lamp change the feel of an entire room rather than lighting only a narrow corner. At 2,100 lumens, Govee says it can illuminate up to 645 square feet (58 m²), which is sizable enough for many open-plan living rooms.
To improve uniformity, Govee also increased LED density. The Floor Lamp 3 uses 144 RGB LEDs plus 144 warm-cool white LEDs—double the density of the previous generation—aimed at eliminating visible hotspots. An optimized distance between the LED beads and diffuser helps keep the light smooth and even from multiple viewing angles.
Design-wise, the Floor Lamp 3 moves to an aluminum alloy unibody with a distinctive dual-ring illuminated base. The base is designed to function as its own ambient glow element, adding a decorative lighting layer even when the main lamp isn’t actively lighting the room.
Alongside the flagship, Govee also introduced an entirely different concept: the Govee Lantern Floor Lamp. Instead of a tall wall-wash bar, this model uses a lantern-inspired silhouette and introduces what Govee calls Halo Gradient Lighting. Powered by LuminBlend+, the effect is meant to create a soft, ring-shaped gradient glow reminiscent of natural light transitions—like the warm-to-cool shift you see at sunset—delivered in a more decorative, furniture-like form factor.
The Lantern Floor Lamp delivers up to 1,400 lumens and supports the same broad 1,000K to 10,000K range, making it suitable for both functional tasks like reading and more atmospheric lighting for winding down. Govee rates it for up to 320 square feet (30 m²) of coverage. It’s also designed to blend into different décor styles, from minimalist spaces to cozy reading corners, with an emphasis on looking like a natural part of the room instead of a gadget.
A standout usability feature is its tap-to-switch control. By tapping the top of the lamp, you can cycle through lighting effects without opening an app, which is ideal for quick changes when you’re already on the couch or heading to bed.
Both new lamps run on Govee’s latest smart lighting platform, bringing AI-assisted scene creation and automation into the mix. AI Lighting Bot 2.0 supports multi-turn conversational control for generating custom lighting scenes—so instead of manually tweaking colors and brightness, you describe the mood you want and the system creates a matching look. DaySync is included as well, providing automated scheduling that adjusts color temperature throughout the day to align with circadian rhythm patterns, shifting from energizing morning light to warmer tones later on.
For smart home compatibility, both models support Matter and work with major platforms including Alexa, Google Home, and SmartThings, helping them fit into mixed-device households. Govee also notes more than 100 preset scene modes and 16 music sync modes for dynamic lighting effects during parties, movies, gaming, or casual listening sessions.
Govee is also rounding out the lineup with the Govee Floor Lamp 3 Lite, described as a mid-range RGBICWW option aimed at younger homeowners. With these additions, Govee says its smart floor lamp range now spans $99.99 to $199.99, covering everything from entry-level models for first-time smart lighting users to more feature-rich options designed for entertainment setups.
Pricing and availability begin May 7, 2026. The Govee Floor Lamp 3 (16B0) is priced at $169.99, the Govee Lantern Floor Lamp (1630) is $129.99, and the Govee Floor Lamp 3 Lite (16C0) is also $129.99.
