Garmin is rolling out a fresh beta software update that should make day-to-day use a little smoother for several of its popular multisport smartwatches. Nearly a month after Beta Version 26.03 arrived for models such as the Enduro 2, Fenix 7, and Quatix 7, Garmin is now following up with Beta Version 26.04—delivered as an over-the-air update through Bluetooth or Wi‑Fi.
The rollout is happening in stages. Garmin says Beta Version 26.04 has reached around 20% of beta program participants so far, which means it may take a few more days before everyone with an eligible watch sees the update appear.
As with the previous beta, not every device is included. This release still excludes Pro-branded models, and it also follows an earlier “feature update” package that notably skipped several high-end lines, including the Epix 2, Epix 2 Pro, and Marq Gen 2.
So what’s actually new in Beta Version 26.04? Garmin focuses on practical fixes rather than flashy new features, with three key bug fixes aimed at improving stability and language-related display issues:
One fix tackles a problem that could trigger a system shutdown when you skip music—an especially frustrating issue for anyone who uses their watch for workouts with offline playlists or paired headphones.
Another fix corrects a bug that prevented Training Effect estimates from displaying properly in German, improving accuracy and consistency for German-language users tracking workout impact.
The third fix addresses a translation-related display issue that caused the Solar Intensity widget to appear incorrectly, which matters for solar-equipped Garmin watches where that widget helps users understand charging conditions and solar performance.
If you’re enrolled in Garmin’s beta program and use one of the supported models, keep an eye on your update page over the next several days. Beta Version 26.04 is designed to refine the music experience, improve training metric presentation, and clean up widget language issues—all small changes that can make a big difference in everyday reliability.
