DJI Osmo Action 6 Pro Rumors Spark After Latest Camera Launch

DJI looks set to keep its busy release schedule rolling, even as several upcoming products appear to have been pushed back. Recent chatter suggests the sequel to the Osmo Pocket 3 was once expected in December, but attention shifted toward an Osmo Pocket 4 Pro instead. At the same time, the long-rumored Avata 360 has reportedly been waiting in the wings as DJI readies its own take on the growing 360 drone trend.

Now, there’s fresh talk around DJI’s action camera lineup. According to YouTuber Photorabz, DJI may be preparing to introduce an Osmo Action 6 Pro later this year. That would be a notable follow-up to the Osmo Action 6, which launched toward the end of last year after months of leaks and speculation and currently sells in the $300–$400 range depending on the retailer.

While specific Osmo Action 6 Pro specs haven’t surfaced yet, there are a few clear areas where DJI could make a “Pro” model feel meaningfully different. Battery is one of them. The Osmo Action 6 uses the same 1,950 mAh battery found in the Osmo Action 5 Pro, and official endurance figures are roughly 52 to 53 minutes. A Pro version could potentially improve runtime, efficiency, or thermal performance to support longer recording sessions—especially for creators filming in higher resolutions or frame rates.

Another likely upgrade path is stabilization. DJI’s stabilization has been a major selling point across the Osmo Action series, but the current software approach is said to be largely unchanged since the Osmo Action 4 era. A new Pro model could introduce updated algorithms, better low-light stabilization, or improved horizon leveling—exactly the kinds of refinements action camera buyers tend to search for when deciding whether to upgrade.

As for timing, DJI typically reveals new Osmo Action models in late summer. That was true for recent generations like the Osmo Action 3, Osmo Action 4, and Osmo Action 5 Pro. However, the Osmo Action 6 arrived in November, aligning more with an autumn release window similar to what happened with the Action 2. If the Osmo Action 6 Pro is really on the way, it could land either in the usual late-summer slot or repeat last year’s later launch strategy.

For now, the Osmo Action 6 Pro remains firmly in rumor territory, but the idea fits DJI’s pattern: release a strong mainstream model, then follow up with a “Pro” version aimed at enthusiasts who want longer battery life, more advanced stabilization, and potential image-quality upgrades. If more leaks emerge in the coming months, the Osmo Action 6 Pro could become one of the most talked-about action cameras of the year.
