Zenless Zone Zero 3.3 Drops October 21: New Chaos Awaits

Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.3 “Journey to the Sky” Launches October 21 With New S-Rank Agents, Mech Combat, Events, and Free Pulls

HoYoverse has officially confirmed that Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.3, titled “Journey to the Sky,” will launch on Wednesday, October 21, 2026. The update will arrive as a free patch for players on PS5, PS5 Pro, Xbox Series X|S, PC, iOS, and Android.

This new version brings a major wave of content to the urban fantasy action RPG, including two new S-Rank Agents, a fresh mech combat mode tied to the main story, limited-time events, new outfits, W-Engines, and login rewards.

The first half of Version 3.3 introduces Phoenix, a new S-Rank Fire Anomaly Agent. Phoenix serves as the second-in-command of combat at the Krampus Compliance Authority, and her abilities are built around survival and comeback potential. Her standout mechanic is Rebirth, which allows her to withstand a fatal blow and return to battle instead of being taken out immediately.

Phoenix will debut alongside her signature S-Rank W-Engine, Plume of Rebirth. During the same banner phase, Velina will return as a rerun character, with the Joyau Dore W-Engine also making a comeback.

The second half of the update will shift the spotlight to Severian, an S-Rank Wind Attack Agent. Severian is a senior commissioner at New Eridu Public Security and focuses on evasive, counter-based combat. His core skill, Endless Breeze, allows him to automatically dodge incoming attacks and strike back. Each successful dodge helps build energy, enabling him to unleash a rapid chain of consecutive slashes.

Severian’s signature W-Engine, Incarcerating Grip, will launch with his banner. Norma and the Chief Sidekick W-Engine are also set to return during the second half of Version 3.3, which is expected to begin on November 11.

One of the biggest additions in Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.3 is mech combat. The main story continues the battle surrounding the sky island of Roscaelifer, pushing Proxies into a new type of mission involving High Ambitions Corp combat mechs.

These machines are created through Lindverne’s Karma Core ability, Genesis Reconstruction. Players will pilot the mechs while infiltrating enemy bases under disguise. The new gameplay system allows switching between melee and ranged attacks, while laser-based weapons will be used for both combat and puzzle-solving.

Version 3.3 also brings a seasonal Halloween-themed event called Night of Supernatural Tricks. Set around Lumina Square, the event has Proxies driving Trickmobiles to scare guests inside funhouse attractions. Players who take part can earn several rewards, including an Angels of Delusion outfit, a new A-Rank W-Engine, and proxy accessories.

Cosmetic collectors will also have new outfits to look forward to. Phoenix is receiving two new outfits, which will be sold together in a limited-time bundle with a 30% discount. Severian’s outfit, Solemnly Impeccable, will become available when his banner goes live.

Players can also claim free rewards through Version 3.3 check-in events. These include 10 Encrypted Master Tapes and 10 Boopons, giving Proxies extra chances to pull for characters, W-Engines, or Bangboo.

Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.3 maintenance is expected to begin at 06:00 UTC+8 on October 21 and should last around five hours, based on the schedule used for previous updates.

With two new S-Rank Agents, stylish outfits, free pulls, Halloween activities, and a story-driven mech combat system, Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.3 looks set to be one of the game’s most action-packed updates yet.
