Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.0 Arrives June 17 With Roscaelifer, Wind Attribute, and New Agents
Zenless Zone Zero is preparing for one of its biggest updates yet. Instead of releasing Version 2.9, HoYoverse is moving directly to Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.0, launching on June 17, 2026. The update marks the beginning of Season 3 and introduces a major new setting, fresh playable characters, and a broader storyline that appears to reshape the future of New Eridu.
Version 3.0 will roll out at the same time across PC, mobile, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The scheduled launch time is 11:00 AM UTC+8, giving players around the world access to the new content simultaneously.
The biggest highlight of the update is Roscaelifer, a floating city that has been hinted at since the earliest days of Zenless Zone Zero. Officially known as the Celestial Nexus, Roscaelifer floats high above New Eridu and has remained largely hidden from the public eye. For many residents below, the city is little more than a rumor, if they know about it at all.
Roscaelifer is described as an independent Restricted Zone founded and ruled by Lady Sunbringer. Unlike the chaotic energy of New Eridu, this skybound city presents itself as calm, orderly, and almost dreamlike. Its design blends elegant European-inspired architecture with futuristic elements such as flying vehicles, creating a striking contrast between old-world beauty and advanced technology.
The city is also known as a Bangboo utopia, a rare place where Bangboo and humans live together in harmony. On the surface, Roscaelifer looks peaceful and ideal. However, Season 3 quickly suggests that the truth behind the floating city is far more complicated.
A Season 3 teaser revealed that New Eridu’s prosperity may be tied to a hidden data stream flowing from Roscaelifer. Rather than being powered by generosity or simple innovation, this mysterious stream appears connected to suffering. That revelation gives the new region a darker edge and sets the stage for a larger conflict.
Roscaelifer is also said to be close to collapse. As the city’s stability weakens, powerful factions begin moving in. The TOPS Three Pacts are already positioning themselves to seize control, suggesting that the peaceful city above New Eridu may soon become the center of a dangerous political struggle.
Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.0 will focus heavily on exploration and world-building, allowing players to discover Roscaelifer and learn more about its secrets. The deeper narrative conflict is expected to escalate further in Version 3.1, which will likely push Season 3 into more dramatic territory.
The update also introduces Velina, one of the most important new characters in Zenless Zone Zero so far. Velina serves as the administrative director of Roscaelifer’s External Strategy Department, placing her directly at the heart of the new region’s affairs.
Most importantly, Velina is the first Wind attribute agent in Zenless Zone Zero. The Wind attribute was previously teased during Version 2.8, when a boss entered a Wind Attribute Anomaly state. With Version 3.0, the attribute finally becomes playable through Velina, opening the door for new team compositions, combat strategies, and future character possibilities.
Norma is another new agent joining the roster in Version 3.0. She is a Fire Stun specialist, giving players another option for aggressive combat setups and enemy control. While HoYoverse has confirmed both Velina and Norma as playable characters, full details about their abilities, skills, and banner structure are expected to be revealed closer to the official Version 3.0 Special Program.
The third major addition is Pyrois, and this one stands apart from the usual agent lineup. Pyrois is not presented as a standard recruitable character but as the Proxy’s awakened combat form. This makes Pyrois especially interesting from both a gameplay and story perspective.
HoYoverse has not yet confirmed exactly how players will obtain Pyrois. However, the character’s connection to the Proxy and the Roscaelifer storyline suggests that Pyrois will play a central role in Season 3’s main progression. Whether unlocked through story content, a special system, or another method remains to be seen.
With Roscaelifer, the debut of the Wind attribute, new characters, and a major shift in the story, Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.0 looks far larger than a typical update. It introduces a new city with deep lore, expands the combat system, and sets up a conflict that could define the next phase of the game.
For players who have been following clues since Version 1.0, the arrival of Roscaelifer is a major payoff. For newcomers, Version 3.0 offers a strong entry point into the evolving world of Zenless Zone Zero. Season 3 begins on June 17, and all signs point to Roscaelifer becoming one of the most important locations in the game’s story so far.
