Xiaomi is getting ready to launch a new high-end e-scooter for international markets, and it looks like the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 6 Max will be the most powerful option in the upcoming Electric Scooter 6 lineup. After appearing on Xiaomi’s global site, the model is now drawing attention for one big reason: it packs higher performance and comfort-focused upgrades while keeping the practical everyday features riders actually use.
More power for hills and faster acceleration
The Xiaomi Electric Scooter 6 Max is expected to deliver up to 1,100W peak power, making it one of the more capable scooters in its class on paper. It uses a 450W-rated brushless DC motor designed to handle steeper routes, with Xiaomi claiming it can climb inclines of up to 24%. For commuters dealing with hilly neighborhoods or bridges, that climbing figure could be a key reason to choose the Max over lower-tier models.
As with many scooters sold in regions with speed regulations, the top speed is listed at 25 km/h (around 16 mph). Riders will also have three speed modes available, letting you balance performance and battery life depending on your route.
Battery range and charging: built for longer trips
Range is another strong selling point. The Electric Scooter 6 Max features a 468 Wh battery. Xiaomi estimates up to 70 km (around 43 miles) of range when riding at 15 km/h (about 9 mph). If you ride at the top speed, the estimated range drops to 45 km (around 28 miles), which is still solid for daily commuting, errands, or longer weekend rides.
Charging should be relatively convenient too, with Xiaomi stating the battery can fully recharge in under three hours. For many riders, that means you can top it up at work or charge it in the evening and be ready again the next day without an overnight wait.
Comfort upgrades: bigger tires and improved suspension
Xiaomi is leaning into ride comfort and grip with 12-inch tubeless tires, which should help with traction and stability on uneven pavement. Shock absorption also gets a boost from a 45 mm long-travel fork spring at the front and dual rear springs, aiming to smooth out bumps and reduce fatigue on longer rides.
Braking, safety, and everyday usability
The scooter includes disc brakes at both the front and rear, along with rear E-ABS for additional control. The frame is made from carbon steel and is foldable for easier storage or transporting when you need to carry it onto public transit or tuck it into a corner at home. Xiaomi lists the scooter’s weight at 29.7 kg (about 65.5 lbs), so while it’s foldable, it’s clearly built as a sturdier, higher-capacity ride rather than an ultra-light carry-on option.
Other practical features include a wide 190 mm (about 7.5-inch) deck for more comfortable footing, a dual-control throttle setup, and lighting at both the front and rear to improve visibility in low-light conditions.
Connectivity and tracking: Apple Find My support included
A built-in color display shows real-time riding information such as speed and charging status. Riders who want more details can use the Xiaomi Home app for additional metrics and scooter management.
One standout addition is Apple Find My compatibility, which enables location tracking through Apple’s ecosystem. This could be especially useful for anyone who parks their scooter outside offices, apartments, or public racks and wants an extra layer of theft deterrence or recovery support.
Release date and price: still unconfirmed
Xiaomi hasn’t officially announced the release date or pricing for the Electric Scooter 6 Max yet. However, if it launches in European markets such as Germany, it could land in a similar price range to the older Electric Scooter 5 Max, which has been listed at €599.99.
With its high peak power, longer claimed range, upgraded suspension, and Apple Find My tracking, the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 6 Max is shaping up to be a serious option for riders who want a more capable commuter scooter without stepping into full moped territory.
