Xiaomi Smart Camera C401 Launches with 2.5K Video, Night Vision, and 360-Degree Coverage
Xiaomi has introduced the Smart Camera C401, an affordable home security camera designed for users who want sharper video, wide-area monitoring, and smart home support without paying a premium price.
The new Xiaomi Smart Camera C401 records in 4 MP quality and supports video capture at up to 2.5K resolution, delivering footage at 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. That higher resolution should make it easier to spot details in recorded clips, whether you are checking on your home, monitoring a pet, or reviewing movement around a room.
One of the key highlights is its 360-degree horizontal viewing capability, allowing the camera to scan across an entire room. Its vertical viewing range is 101 degrees, giving users a broad field of view for everyday indoor monitoring. Combined with Xiaomi’s enhanced infrared night vision, the camera is built to capture clearer footage even in low-light or nighttime conditions.
The Smart Camera C401 also comes with modern connectivity options. It supports Bluetooth 5.4 and dual-band Wi-Fi 6, which should help provide a more stable connection when streaming or accessing footage remotely. Smart home users can also integrate the camera with Amazon Alexa and Google Home for easier voice control and connected-home automation.
For app compatibility, users will need a smartphone or tablet running at least Android 8 or iOS 14.0. Through Xiaomi’s supported software, the camera can detect people, pets, and unusual sounds, making it more useful for home security and everyday awareness. These detection features can help users receive more relevant alerts instead of being notified about every minor movement.
Storage is handled through a microSD card, with support for cards up to 512 GB. However, the camera does not include built-in storage, so users who want local recording will need to purchase a compatible memory card separately.
The Xiaomi Smart Camera C401 is now available in several markets, including Australia, Indonesia, the United Kingdom, and Singapore. Pricing is listed at AUD 64, IDR 699,000, £45.99, and SGD 64.90, which places it at around $50 depending on the region.
With 2.5K video recording, night vision, AI-powered detection, Wi-Fi 6 support, and smart assistant integration, the Xiaomi Smart Camera C401 looks like a strong option for anyone searching for an affordable indoor security camera with modern features.
