Xiaomi Redmi Buds 8 Go Global With ANC and LHDC at a Budget Price

Xiaomi Redmi Buds 8 Launch in More Markets With ANC, LHDC Audio, and Up to 44 Hours of Battery Life

Xiaomi is expanding the availability of its Redmi Buds 8, bringing the affordable wireless earbuds to more international markets, including Germany and the United Kingdom. Designed for buyers who want premium-style features without paying flagship prices, the Redmi Buds 8 arrive with active noise cancellation, high-resolution wireless audio support, and long battery life.

In Germany, Xiaomi lists the Redmi Buds 8 at €50 through its official online store, with the regular retail price shown as €60. In the United Kingdom, the earbuds are priced at £40. They are available in three color choices: Green, Black, and White.

The Redmi Buds 8 continue Xiaomi’s strategy of offering strong value in the budget earbuds segment. One of the key features is active noise cancellation, which is rated to reduce surrounding noise by up to 50 dB. This should make the earbuds useful for commuting, office work, studying, or listening to music in busy environments.

Another standout feature is support for the LHDC audio codec. This is notable for wireless earbuds in this price range, as it can help deliver higher-quality audio transmission with reduced loss compared to standard Bluetooth codecs, provided the connected device supports it.

For sound output, the Redmi Buds 8 use dual 11 mm drivers. Xiaomi is also promoting a personalized audio feature called Sound ID, which adjusts playback based on a hearing test. The idea is to create a sound profile tailored to each user’s hearing and listening preferences, offering a more customized music experience.

Battery life is another strong point. With active noise cancellation turned off, the earbuds can last up to 11 hours on a single charge, while the charging case extends total playback time to 44 hours. When ANC is enabled, battery life drops to up to 6.5 hours from the earbuds and up to 28 hours with the case.

The Redmi Buds 8 also carry an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, making them suitable for everyday use, light workouts, and outdoor listening. While they are not designed for full water immersion, the rating adds reassurance against sweat and splashes.

With ANC, LHDC support, personalized sound tuning, long battery life, and a low launch price, the Xiaomi Redmi Buds 8 could be an appealing option for anyone searching for budget wireless earbuds with features typically found in more expensive models.
