Xiaomi Reaches 300,000 Cars Produced in Just 15 Months

In a remarkable accomplishment, Xiaomi’s Automotive Division, launched in April 2024, has reported delivering over 300,000 vehicles within just 15 months since the debut of its SU7 model. The company notes that the shipping time for the last 200,000 cars was nearly identical to that of the first 100,000, highlighting a rapid escalation in production efficiency.

Xiaomi credits this success to a significant expansion of its automotive infrastructure, which has swiftly scaled up to meet the surging demand for its vehicles. Currently, Xiaomi offers two models: the SU7 sedan and the YU7 SUV. Notably, the SU7 Ultra, a performance-oriented variant, has garnered attention by becoming a selectable model in Gran Turismo 7.

The company has already received over 240,000 pre-orders for the YU7 and is reportedly working on an Ultra variant along with a larger SUV version. All of Xiaomi’s vehicles so far are electric, but there are plans to soon explore extended-range electric vehicles (EREVs).

Focused currently within China, Xiaomi has ambitious plans to expand into the European market in the near future, building on its impressive domestic success.
