Saudi Arabia’s First Automaker Ceer Reveals 1,111-HP EXOBOT Electric Sedan and SUV
Saudi Arabia’s automotive ambitions have taken a major step forward as Ceer, the country’s first car manufacturer, introduces its futuristic EXOBOT electric vehicles. The new lineup includes a luxury electric sedan and SUV with bold styling, extreme performance, and a massive 48-inch 8K display stretching across the cabin.
Ceer is a joint venture between Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund and Foxconn, with BMW providing engineering and development support. Foxconn is contributing electrical and electronic vehicle architecture, helping Ceer position itself as a serious new player in the global electric vehicle market.
The first two EXOBOT models are designed to make a statement. The sedan measures 5.26 meters long, while the SUV comes in at 5.02 meters. Both are 2.10 meters wide, giving them a strong road presence. Their design blends sharp, futuristic lines with inspiration from Saudi architecture, creating a distinctive look that stands apart from traditional luxury EVs.
One of the most eye-catching features is the Shahin Wing Doors. These upward-opening doors stretch nearly three meters and are made possible by the absence of a conventional B-pillar. This creates a wide, open entry area for passengers, while high-strength materials are used to maintain structural rigidity.
In their most powerful form, the Ceer EXOBOT sedan and SUV use a tri-motor all-wheel-drive setup with torque vectoring. Output reaches up to 1,111 horsepower and 1,500 Nm of torque. Ceer says the sedan can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.1 seconds, with a top speed of 250 km/h. The SUV is nearly as quick, reaching 100 km/h in 2.4 seconds and topping out at 210 km/h.
At launch, Ceer is expected to offer a First Edition version with slightly lower output. This model will still feature three electric motors and all-wheel drive, producing 850 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque. Even in this configuration, performance remains impressive, with the sedan reaching 100 km/h in 2.6 seconds and the SUV doing the same in 2.9 seconds.
Power comes from a 112 kWh battery pack using an 800-volt architecture. Ceer claims the sedan will offer up to 670 kilometers of driving range, while the SUV is expected to achieve up to 560 kilometers. The company has not yet confirmed which testing standard these range estimates are based on. Charging from 10% to 80% is said to take less than 30 minutes, although the maximum charging speed has not been announced.
Inside, the EXOBOT models continue the futuristic theme. The highlight is a curved 48-inch “Digital Horizon Display” with 8K resolution, spanning nearly the full width of the dashboard. It is paired with a 10.4-inch touchscreen in the center console and an 8-inch display for rear passengers.
Despite the heavy use of screens, Ceer is not completely abandoning physical controls. Functions such as gear selection, climate settings, and volume adjustment are expected to use traditional controls, which may appeal to drivers who prefer quick access without navigating menus.
The vehicles will also feature a yoke-style steering setup combined with steer-by-wire technology. This system reduces the maximum steering angle to 160 degrees, compared with around 400 degrees in a conventional steering system. Rear-wheel steering is also planned, which should help improve agility and maneuverability despite the vehicles’ large size.
Production will take place at the Ceer Manufacturing Complex in King Abdullah Economic City. Sales are expected to begin in Saudi Arabia in early 2027, with additional regional markets planned from 2028. Pricing has not yet been revealed.
Ceer’s ambitions extend beyond these first two luxury EVs. The company plans to offer seven models by 2030, with the EXOBOT sedan and SUV followed by five more vehicles aimed at a broader market. While electric vehicles are currently the focus, Ceer is also expected to develop plug-in hybrid models and vehicles with internal combustion engines in the future.
With up to 1,111 horsepower, dramatic wing doors, ultra-fast acceleration, and one of the largest in-car displays announced for a production vehicle, the Ceer EXOBOT lineup signals a bold entrance for Saudi Arabia’s first automaker. If the production models deliver on these promises, Ceer could quickly become one of the most closely watched new names in the global luxury EV market.
