Xiaomi’s Pad 8 series is shaping up to be one of the most exciting upcoming Android tablet launches, and new evidence suggests the global debut may be right around the corner. Xiaomi introduced the flagship Pad 8 lineup in China back in September 2025 with two models, the Xiaomi Pad 8 and Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro. Since then, international buyers have been waiting for word on a worldwide release—and now the global Xiaomi Pad 8 has appeared in a new Geekbench listing.
The benchmark entry shows the global Xiaomi Pad 8 carrying the model number 25097RP43G. It’s listed with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM, giving a clear hint at the performance tier Xiaomi is targeting for its next global tablet. In the test results, the device scored 2,042 points in the single-core run and 6,145 points in the multi-core run.
Those numbers are particularly interesting when compared to the previous generation. The Xiaomi Pad 7, powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, recorded 1,893 in single-core and 5,089 in multi-core performance. Based on that comparison, the Xiaomi Pad 8 appears to deliver roughly an 8% uplift in single-core speed and around a 20% boost in multi-core performance—an upgrade that could translate into smoother multitasking, faster productivity workflows, and better sustained performance in demanding apps.
Another notable detail from the benchmark listing is the software. The global Xiaomi Pad 8 is shown running Android 16, suggesting Xiaomi is positioning this tablet as a modern, long-lasting option for users who want the latest Android features and optimizations.
While the Geekbench database doesn’t reveal everything, the remaining specs for the global model are expected to closely follow the China version of the Xiaomi Pad 8. The Chinese variant features an 11.2-inch LCD display with a 3200×2136 resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, which should be ideal for fast scrolling, gaming, and generally fluid animation. It also packs a sizable 9,200mAh battery paired with 45W fast charging. For cameras, it includes a 13MP rear shooter and an 8MP front camera for video calls and selfies.
As for when you might actually be able to buy it internationally, a recent tip from known leaker Abhishek Yadav suggests the Xiaomi Pad 8 series could launch globally in early March, arriving alongside the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra. If that timeline holds, Xiaomi fans won’t have to wait much longer to see this Snapdragon 8s Gen 4-powered Android tablet hit more markets.
