Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max spotted with Xring O3 chip, Android 17, and major performance gains
Xiaomi is preparing to introduce its next flagship tablet, the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max, in China in September 2026. Ahead of the launch, a new benchmark listing has offered an early look at what could be one of Xiaomi’s most powerful Android tablets yet.
A Xiaomi device carrying the model number M367FC has surfaced on Geekbench, and early reports suggest this model is the upcoming Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max. The listing points to Xiaomi’s new in-house Xring O3 chipset, making this tablet especially important for the company’s hardware ambitions.
The Xring O3 appears to be a high-performance 10-core processor. Based on the benchmark details, the CPU configuration includes two cores running at 4.36GHz, four cores at 3.69GHz, and four cores at 3.15GHz. The tablet is also listed with a Mali-G2-Ultra-NX MC16 GPU, 16GB of RAM, and Android 17.
Performance is where things get particularly interesting. In Geekbench 6.7.1, the alleged Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max scored 3,541 points in single-core performance and 14,153 points in multi-core performance. Compared with the Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro powered by the earlier Xring O1 chip, the new model shows a major jump, with roughly 33% higher single-core performance and more than 65% better multi-core performance.
Those numbers suggest that Xiaomi’s second-generation in-house tablet chipset could deliver a serious upgrade, especially for multitasking, gaming, productivity apps, video editing, and other demanding workloads.
The benchmark also puts the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max in a strong position against current high-end Android gaming tablets. For example, Lenovo’s Legion Tab Gen 5 with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 has posted similar single-core results but lower multi-core numbers. The Xiaomi tablet appears to edge ahead slightly in single-core performance while offering a much larger advantage in multi-core testing.
Beyond raw speed, leaks suggest the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max may feature a large 13.3-inch display, positioning it as a premium tablet for entertainment, creative work, and productivity. It is also rumored to include a battery larger than 10,000mAh, along with 120W wired fast charging. If accurate, that combination could make the device appealing to users who want a large-screen Android tablet with long battery life and quick recharge times.
The Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max is expected to sit at the top of Xiaomi’s 2026 tablet lineup. The company is also believed to be preparing the standard Xiaomi Pad 9 and Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro, giving buyers multiple options depending on performance needs and budget.
With Android 17, a large display, a huge battery, ultra-fast charging, and the new Xring O3 chipset, the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max could become one of the most exciting flagship Android tablets of 2026. While Xiaomi has yet to confirm all specifications, the early benchmark results suggest that its next premium tablet may bring a significant leap in performance over the previous generation.
