Volvo EX60 Electric SUV Deliveries Begin in Europe With Up to 810 km of Range
Volvo has officially started customer deliveries of the all-new EX60, marking a major step forward in the brand’s electric vehicle strategy. The premium mid-size electric SUV is now reaching its first owners in Sweden, Volvo’s home market, before expanding to more European countries in the coming weeks.
The Volvo EX60 enters the market as a fully electric alternative to one of the company’s most popular models, the XC60 plug-in hybrid. By positioning the EX60 at a comparable price level, Volvo is making the move to an all-electric SUV more appealing for drivers who want premium comfort, long driving range, and modern Scandinavian design without stepping too far away from familiar pricing.
At launch, the Volvo EX60 is available in three powertrain versions. The most powerful model, the Volvo EX60 P12 AWD electric, comes with all-wheel drive and delivers 500 kW, equal to 680 horsepower. It also offers the longest driving range in the lineup, with up to 810 kilometers on the WLTP cycle.
The mid-range Volvo EX60 P10 AWD electric also features all-wheel drive and produces 375 kW, or 510 horsepower. This version provides up to 660 kilometers of electric range, giving buyers a strong balance between performance and efficiency.
For those looking for a more accessible version, the Volvo EX60 P6 electric uses rear-wheel drive and produces 275 kW, or 374 horsepower. Even as the entry-level model, it still offers an impressive range of up to 611 kilometers, making it suitable for long-distance driving as well as daily commuting.
Fast charging is one of the EX60’s biggest highlights. Volvo says the SUV can charge from 10 to 80 percent in just 16 minutes when connected to a compatible 400 kW fast charger. A quick 10-minute charging stop can add up to 340 kilometers of range, making the EX60 a strong option for drivers who regularly travel longer distances.
Beyond range and charging speed, the EX60 introduces important new technology for Volvo. It is the first model built on the company’s new SPA3 electric vehicle architecture. This platform brings several advanced manufacturing and engineering solutions, including megacasting, an integrated cell-to-body battery structure, and a powerful core computing system designed to support future software-driven vehicle features.
Inside, the Volvo EX60 follows the brand’s clean and minimalist design approach. The cockpit focuses on easy-to-read displays, intuitive controls, and full connectivity. As a five-seat premium electric SUV, it is designed to combine family-friendly practicality with the quiet, refined driving experience expected from a modern electric vehicle.
The exterior design also reflects Volvo’s current electric identity, with smooth surfaces, balanced proportions, and a confident SUV stance. While the EX60 keeps a restrained and elegant appearance, its performance figures show that it is far more powerful than its calm design might suggest, especially in the 680-horsepower P12 AWD version.
The new Volvo EX60 is developed and produced in Sweden, reinforcing the company’s commitment to its domestic manufacturing base while pushing deeper into the global electric SUV market. Orders are now open in Europe and the United States, with deliveries beginning first in Sweden before expanding to additional markets.
With up to 810 kilometers of range, ultra-fast charging, three strong powertrain options, and a new electric platform, the Volvo EX60 is positioned as one of the brand’s most important electric SUVs yet. For buyers considering a premium electric family SUV, it offers a compelling mix of performance, practicality, range, and next-generation Volvo technology.
