Vivo X Fold 6 import prices leak ahead of launch, and foldable fans may not like the numbers
The Vivo X Fold 6 has not been officially announced yet, but early listings from import retailers are already giving buyers a possible preview of its pricing. If these early figures are accurate, Vivo’s next premium foldable phone could arrive with a noticeably higher price tag than last year’s model.
As of June 20, 2026, two import-focused retailers have already listed the Vivo X Fold 6 online. One retailer based in Hong Kong lists the base model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage at 12,200 HKD, which converts to around €1,357 or $1,557. Another retailer serving buyers in the UAE, UK, Germany, and the US is offering the same version for pre-order at around €1,435 for Germany or $1,646 for the United States, with taxes and customs duties included.
The higher-storage versions are even more expensive. The Vivo X Fold 6 with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage is listed at approximately €1,491, or about $1,710, from one retailer. Another pre-order listing places that model at around €1,564, or $1,794.
For buyers looking at the top-end Vivo X Fold 6 with 1TB of storage, the expected import price climbs further. Current listings suggest pricing between roughly €1,625 and €1,764, or around $1,863 to $2,024, depending on the seller and region.
Shipping dates also appear to vary. One retailer suggests the first units could ship from July 7, 2026, while another indicates availability between late June and early July. However, since Vivo has not yet revealed official China pricing, these early import prices should be treated with caution.
The biggest concern is how much more expensive the Vivo X Fold 6 appears to be compared with the Vivo X Fold 5. Around the end of June 2025, the previous-generation model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage was available through import sellers for about €1,027, including local taxes in Germany.
If the newly listed Vivo X Fold 6 prices remain unchanged after launch, the base model could be more than 32 percent more expensive than its predecessor. That would be a major price jump in just one year, especially in a foldable phone market where competition is becoming stronger.
For now, buyers may want to avoid rushing into a pre-order. Import prices often change after the official launch, and additional sellers may list the device at lower prices once Vivo confirms the China retail cost. Waiting could make a significant difference, especially for shoppers in Europe and the US where import fees can heavily affect the final price.
The leaked Vivo X Fold 6 pricing may also signal a broader trend for premium foldable smartphones in 2026. Samsung is expected to introduce its next foldable lineup at a Galaxy Unpacked event rumored for July 22, including the successor to the Galaxy Z Fold 7, the Galaxy Z Flip 8, and a more compact foldable model aimed at ultra-premium buyers.
Supply chain reports have already suggested that Samsung’s next foldables could become more expensive as well. Apple’s first foldable iPhone is also expected to enter a much higher price category when it eventually arrives.
For foldable phone fans, the message is becoming clear: the next generation of flagship foldables may bring better hardware, thinner designs, and improved displays, but they may also come with significantly higher prices. The Vivo X Fold 6 could be one of the first major examples of that shift.
