The much-anticipated Nothing Phone (3) has finally made its debut, boasting an intriguing new design and high-performance features. This latest release by Nothing introduces a stunning aesthetic overhaul with a high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor and a trio of impressive camera modules.
After building anticipation with months of leaks and speculation, Nothing has unveiled this device in two striking colors: Black and White. One of the standout features is its dot-matrix screen that incorporates 489 individually programmable LED lights, reminiscent of premium gaming laptops. The iconic glyph interface has been transformed, offering an innovative interactive experience.
The Phone (3) includes a dedicated Glyph button that provides access to multiple widgets like a battery indicator, selfie-aligning mirror, digital clock, stopwatch, magic 8-ball, spin-the-bottle, and alignment leveller, with more features promised through future updates.
Camera enthusiasts will appreciate the unique setup, featuring three rear modules: a 50 MP wide-angle lens with OIS, a 50 MP periscope telephoto lens with 6x optical zoom and OIS, and a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle lens. A 50 MP front-facing camera is perfect for selfies and video chats. It supports 4K video capture with XDR technology.
The device sports a vibrant 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate, reaching peak brightness levels of 4,500 nits with HDR content and 1,600 nits for full-screen use. Its touch sampling rate is 1,000 Hz, accompanied by PWM dimming at 2,160 Hz.
Beneath the surface, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip is paired with up to 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GB UFS 4.0 storage. The phone is powered by a robust 5,100 mAh battery supporting 65W fast charging, with the Indian edition offering a 5,500 mAh capacity. Qi wireless charging is also available.
Remarkably, Nothing promises seven years of software support, including five major Android updates integrated with NothingOS. Additional features include an under-display fingerprint sensor and comprehensive wireless connectivity options such as Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, and 5G. Durability is ensured with Corning Gorilla Glass and IP68 certification.
The Nothing Phone (3) positions itself as a premium device, priced at €799 for the base model with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, while the high-end version with 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage is available for €899.
