The Amazfit Balance 2 XT smartwatch has unexpectedly surfaced on a US retailer’s site, although there’s been no official word from Zepp Health, the powerhouse behind the Amazfit brand. This smartwatch has been the subject of speculation since earlier this year, hinted at through various leaks and documents.
Currently, a listing has popped up at Best Buy in the US, revealing some intriguing details. The Balance 2 XT is suggested to feature a more compact 38 mm watch face, compared to the 47 mm face of the standard Balance 2 model. However, previous mislistings by Best Buy regarding the original Balance smartwatch’s size raise questions about this accuracy.
What’s really catching attention is the smartwatch’s display, which highlights the new BioCharge Energy Monitoring feature. This innovative technology, first seen with the Amazfit Helio Strap, mimics Garmin’s Body Battery, analyzing your workout, activity, stress, and rest data to gauge your energy levels throughout the day.
Although the XT version seems to mirror the regular model in many ways, there’s no mention of a temperature sensor. The material is listed as an aluminum and fiber-reinforced polymer blend, aligning with the standard version. This is despite earlier whispers about the Balance 2 XT being crafted from titanium.
Best Buy lists the Amazfit Balance 2 XT at a price of $199.99, notably $100 less expensive than the standard Balance 2, which is priced at $299.99. Whether this is the definite price or merely a placeholder remains uncertain. The complete specifications and release date are still under wraps, awaiting an official unveiling from Amazfit.
