A new Amazfit smartwatch may be just around the corner, and this time it’s a model called the Amazfit Active 3 Premium. Zepp Health, the company behind the Amazfit brand, recently launched the Amazfit Active Max in December 2025, but new clues suggest another addition to the Active lineup is already in development.
The Amazfit Active 3 Premium name was reportedly uncovered in the code tied to the Zepp app version 10.0.5 update. For now, only the product name has surfaced, with no confirmed details on specs, features, or design. That means it’s still unclear how the Active 3 Premium will differ from the earlier Amazfit Active 2 Premium, or what upgrades it might bring to users looking for a more refined fitness and everyday smartwatch experience.
To put things in perspective, the Amazfit Active 2 Premium already offers a solid mix of smartwatch and fitness features. It includes health metric tracking, built-in GPS navigation, and support for more than 160 workout modes. It also supports Zepp Pay contactless payments via NFC, though availability is limited to select European countries. On the hardware side, it features a 1.32-inch AMOLED display protected by sapphire glass, plus strap options that include leather and silicone.
Naturally, the big question is what “Premium” could mean for the Active 3 Premium. One possibility is that Zepp Health could borrow some ideas from the newer Amazfit Active Max, such as improved battery life or increased storage. However, until official details emerge, any comparison remains speculation.
There are also signs that Zepp Health might be preparing more than one new smartwatch. A certification filing in Malaysia has been mentioned in connection with an upcoming Amazfit device, though it’s not clear whether that filing relates to the Active 3 series or another rumored model, the T-Rex Ultra 2. Either way, it adds to the sense that multiple Amazfit wearables may be approaching launch.
As for timing, the best hint comes from Amazfit’s previous release pattern. The Amazfit Active 2 arrived roughly 15 months after the original Active smartwatch. If Zepp Health follows a similar schedule, the Amazfit Active 3 and Active 3 Premium could show up around April or May 2026.
For now, anyone interested in the next Amazfit Active smartwatch will have to wait for an official announcement. But with the Active 3 Premium name already appearing in app code, it’s a strong signal that Zepp Health’s next wave of Amazfit smartwatches is getting closer.
