Zepp Health appears to be preparing a major upgrade for its rugged smartwatch lineup. A new Amazfit model, identified as A2570, has surfaced in multiple international certification databases, and one listing reveals what could be its official name: Amazfit T-Rex Dual Solar.
If accurate, this would mark Zepp Health’s first solar-powered smartwatch, bringing a highly requested endurance feature to the adventure-focused T-Rex series. The name “Dual Solar” strongly suggests that the watch may combine solar charging technology with a large internal battery, potentially offering much longer battery life than current Amazfit T-Rex models.
The device has now appeared in certification records across Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, and the Eurasian Economic Union, which is usually a strong sign that a product is moving closer to a global release.
In Indonesia, the Sertifikasi Indonesia database lists model number A2570 as an Amazfit smartwatch manufactured in China. The filing appears under certificate number 125183/DJID/2026 and names PT Globaltama Sukses Makmur as the applicant. However, this listing does not reveal the retail name of the device.
South Korea’s RRA database also includes the A2570 model. The certification was approved on August 4, 2026, and lists China and Vietnam as manufacturing locations, suggesting Zepp Health may be preparing broad production ahead of launch.
The most revealing detail comes from Malaysia’s SIRIM registry. This certification directly connects model number A2570 with the name “T-REX DUAL SOLAR.” The approval was granted on August 3, 2026, under type approval code RDCX/40N/0726/S(26-4227), with Comsat Mobile Communication Sdn Bhd listed as the certificate holder.
A separate listing in the Eurasian Economic Union registry further confirms that the A2570 is going through approval processes in multiple regions at the same time. This coordinated certification activity points to a wider international release rather than a limited regional launch.
The Amazfit T-Rex series is known for rugged designs, strong battery life, outdoor tracking features, and durable builds aimed at hikers, runners, cyclists, and adventure users. Adding solar charging could make the next model even more appealing to people who spend long periods outdoors and want a smartwatch that can last longer between traditional charges.
A solar-powered Amazfit T-Rex could also put more pressure on premium outdoor watches from brands like Garmin, especially models such as the fēnix Solar and Instinct Solar lines.
