Timex Waterbury Heritage Automatic GMT gets a new maroon and black bezel with Seiko NH34 movement
Timex has expanded its Waterbury Heritage Automatic GMT collection with a fresh new model, the TW2Y93500. The latest version brings a richer, more eye-catching color combination to the lineup, pairing a maroon and black 24-hour bezel with a red crown and a classic stainless steel build.
This new release joins the earlier red-and-black and green-and-black bezel variants introduced earlier in the year, giving watch fans another affordable automatic GMT option with vintage-inspired styling and everyday practicality.
The standout detail on the Timex Waterbury Heritage Automatic GMT TW2Y93500 is its two-tone maroon and black bezel. The color choice gives the watch a warm, refined look while still keeping the sporty travel-watch character that GMT models are known for.
The watch features a black dial with applied hour markers, luminous hands and markers, and a date window positioned at 3 o’clock. The red GMT hand, finished with a white triangle tip, adds strong contrast and makes the second time zone easy to read. Timex also includes a yellow seconds hand, adding a small but playful pop of color to the dial.
A red anodized crown completes the design, matching the tones of the bezel and giving the watch a more distinctive appearance compared with the earlier versions.
The stainless steel case measures 41.5 mm across, with a 48 mm lug-to-lug length and a 14 mm thickness. It has a mix of brushed and polished finishing, giving the watch a balance of tool-watch durability and dressier appeal.
Timex pairs the case with a matching stainless steel bracelet. The bracelet includes self-adjustable links, making sizing more convenient, along with a butterfly deployant clasp for a cleaner fit on the wrist. The full watch weighs around 159.73 g, giving it a solid presence without moving into oversized territory.
On the front, the TW2Y93500 uses domed K1 mineral glass with an anti-reflective coating. Around the back, an exhibition case back lets owners view the automatic movement inside. Water resistance is rated at 50 meters, which is suitable for everyday wear and light exposure to water, though it is not intended as a serious dive watch.
Inside the new Waterbury Heritage Automatic GMT is the NH34 automatic GMT movement. This movement allows the red GMT hand to track a second time zone using the 24-hour bezel, making the watch useful for travelers, remote workers, or anyone who regularly keeps track of another region.
The use of an automatic GMT movement is one of the main attractions of this collection. It gives the Waterbury Heritage line a more enthusiast-focused edge while keeping the design accessible and familiar.
The Timex Waterbury Heritage Automatic GMT TW2Y93500 is priced at £475 in the UK, €549 in the EU, and $579 in the US. That makes it slightly more expensive than the earlier versions at launch, but it remains positioned as a relatively approachable automatic GMT watch with a stainless steel case, bracelet, exhibition case back, and recognizable heritage styling.
With its maroon and black bezel, red crown, automatic GMT movement, and classic Waterbury design language, the TW2Y93500 adds one of the most striking looks yet to Timex’s growing automatic GMT lineup.
