Tesla recently unveiled a groundbreaking achievement: the first-ever autonomous delivery of a Model Y. This cutting-edge event, captured in a thrilling video, showcases the electric vehicle as it navigates its way from Tesla’s Giga Texas factory to a customer’s doorstep without any remote intervention.
The journey, which lasted about 30 minutes, had the Model Y traversing a variety of terrains, including highways and city streets. Tesla’s CEO, Elon Musk, proudly shared this milestone on social media, noting that the car operated entirely on its own, without any passengers.
Tesla’s AI and Autopilot leader, Ashok Elluswamy, highlighted that the Model Y reached speeds of up to 72 mph (116 km/h) during the trip, demonstrating the vehicle’s capability and safety.
