The Seiko 5 Sports Field x Honda Motocompo Limited Edition is now available in Singapore, bringing together two Japanese icons in one compact collector’s watch. Priced at SG$599.50, approximately $471, the limited-edition model is restricted to 8,000 pieces worldwide and celebrates Honda’s quirky Motocompo foldable scooter from the early 1980s.
Officially known by the reference HDB010K1, the watch draws its personality from the original Honda Motocompo, a compact trunk scooter produced between 1981 and 1983. That retro influence is immediately clear from the bold yellow dial, black accents, and vintage Honda branding, all designed to echo the playful styling of the original vehicle.
The watch is built on Seiko’s 5 Sports Field platform and features a compact 36.4 mm stainless steel case with a thickness of around 12.5 mm. Its matte black finish gives it a rugged, tool-watch character, while the black nylon pull-through strap adds to the field-watch appeal. A small but clever detail appears on the strap loop, which carries the phrase “Carrying Point,” a nod to the Motocompo’s portable design.
The dial is the standout feature. Finished in a bright textured yellow, it uses bold Arabic numerals for easy readability, while Lumibrite-filled syringe-style hands help visibility in low-light conditions. A horizontal black bar runs across the center of the dial, featuring the vintage Honda logo at 9 o’clock and a day-date display at 3 o’clock. The layout gives the watch a fun, automotive-inspired identity without losing the practicality expected from a Seiko 5 Sports model.
Protecting the dial is a curved Hardlex crystal. The watch also offers 100 meters of water resistance, making it suitable for daily wear, light outdoor use, and casual adventures. A push-pull crown completes the straightforward and durable design.
Inside, the Seiko 5 Sports Field x Honda Motocompo Limited Edition is powered by Seiko’s automatic caliber 4R36 movement. This mechanical movement runs at 21,600 vibrations per hour, supports manual winding, and includes a hacking seconds function for more precise time setting. It also delivers an estimated 41-hour power reserve.
Collectors will also appreciate the exhibition case back, which displays the movement and includes individual numbering for each piece. With only 8,000 units produced globally, the numbered case back adds an extra layer of exclusivity. The watch also comes in a custom-themed presentation box designed to match the collaboration’s retro spirit.
The Seiko 5 Sports Field x Honda Motocompo Limited Edition has launched first through Seiko’s official Singapore online store, with wider international availability expected to follow through September.
