Seiko Lukia Grow Liberty Limited Editions Arrive With Mother-of-Pearl Dials and Lab-Grown Diamonds
Seiko is adding a stylish new chapter to its Lukia Grow lineup with three Japan-only limited-edition watches inspired by Liberty Fabrics. The autumn release brings together compact case sizes, elegant floral strap designs, mother-of-pearl dials, and a touch of sparkle from lab-grown diamonds.
The new Seiko Lukia Grow Liberty trio will go on sale in Japan on October 9, with total production limited to 2,000 pieces across three models. Each watch offers a different case shape and movement, giving collectors a choice between quartz, solar radio-controlled, and automatic mechanical options.
The square Seiko HEG004J is priced at ¥102,300 and uses the quartz caliber 4N30. It measures 20 x 28.9 mm and comes in a stainless steel rectangular case. Compared with the regular HEG001J, which shares the same case size and movement, the limited-edition version carries a ¥38,500 premium. For that added cost, buyers get a Liberty Fabrics quick-release strap, a matching printed presentation box, a mother-of-pearl dial, and two lab-grown diamonds positioned at 1 and 7 o’clock. The HEG004J also features an onyx crown and the Wiltshire Bud fabric print.
The second model, the Seiko HEE007J, takes a more refined tonneau-shaped approach. It is priced at ¥141,900, compared with ¥103,400 for the regular HEE006J that uses the same champagne-gold-plated titanium case. The HEE007J measures 24.6 x 37.4 mm and is powered by Seiko’s 1B32 solar radio movement. On a full charge, it can run for around six months, and it receives time calibration signals from Japan, China, the United States, and Germany. This model is paired with the Chive Liberty print and features bordeaux Roman numerals for a warm, classic look.
The third model, the Seiko HEA005J, stands apart from the other two with its round 28.6 mm case and mechanical movement. It is powered by the hand-windable 2R05 automatic caliber, which has 21 jewels and offers approximately 40 hours of power reserve. Priced at ¥102,300, the same as the diamond-set square model, the HEA005J features decorative berry-shaped metal parts and the yellow Phoebe Liberty print. It is the most traditional watch of the trio for those who prefer an automatic movement over quartz or solar technology.
All three Seiko Lukia Grow Liberty limited editions feature curved sapphire crystal and 10-bar water resistance, making them practical enough for daily wear while keeping a dressy, jewelry-like appeal. The collection is limited to 700 pieces of the HEG004J, 700 pieces of the HEE007J, and 600 pieces of the HEA005J, for a combined total of 2,000 watches.
This is Seiko’s second Lukia Liberty release of 2026. Earlier in the year, the brand introduced the SSQW103 and SSQW104, each limited to 500 pieces and priced at ¥127,600. The new HEE007J revisits the Chive fabric pattern used on one of those earlier models, this time pairing it with a different case style and dial execution.
With prices ranging from about $640 to $885 when converted, the new Seiko Lukia Grow Liberty watches aim to offer a blend of fashion, compact sizing, Japanese watchmaking, and collectible limited-edition appeal. For fans of floral watch straps, mother-of-pearl dials, and elegant everyday watches, this Japan-exclusive release is likely to attract plenty of attention when it reaches stores in October.
