Samsung W27 Leak Teases a Luxe Blue-and-Gold Foldable Flagship

Samsung W27 leak reveals a luxury foldable with blue-and-gold styling

Samsung may be preparing its next ultra-premium foldable smartphone for the Chinese market, and a newly leaked image has offered an early look at what could be the Samsung W27. The device appears to follow Samsung’s tradition of releasing a more luxurious version of its flagship Galaxy Z Fold lineup, complete with exclusive styling and high-end design details.

According to well-known leaker Ice Universe, the Samsung W27 closely resembles the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra in overall shape and camera layout. However, the design shown in the leaked image gives the device a more premium personality. Instead of a standard finish, the phone appears with a glossy dark blue rear panel paired with metallic gold accents around the frame and camera module.

The combination of deep blue and gold gives the Samsung W27 a more elegant look than the regular Galaxy Z Fold models. Mandarin characters visible on the back of the device also suggest that this foldable is being prepared specifically for China, which fits Samsung’s previous strategy with its W-series phones.

The Samsung W27 is expected to succeed the Samsung W26, which launched in October 2025 as a China-focused luxury foldable. If Samsung follows a similar release schedule, the W27 could be officially introduced soon. For now, Samsung has not confirmed the launch date, pricing, or final specifications of the device.

While the exterior design may be the biggest difference, the Samsung W27 is expected to share much of its hardware with the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra. That means buyers can likely expect a flagship-level foldable experience with powerful performance, large displays, and premium build quality.

The device is rumored to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, making it one of Samsung’s most powerful foldables yet. A 5,000 mAh battery is also expected, along with support for 45W fast charging. If accurate, these features would place the W27 among the top foldable smartphones in terms of performance and daily usability.

Another major highlight could be its slim design. The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra is said to measure just 4.1 millimeters when unfolded, and the Samsung W27 may adopt the same ultra-thin profile. For a book-style foldable with a large internal display, that would make it especially appealing to users who want a big-screen device without excessive bulk.

The main display is expected to measure 8 inches with a resolution of 2,504 x 2,256 pixels. That large inner screen should make the phone ideal for multitasking, reading, productivity, gaming, and watching videos. The outer display is reportedly 6.5 inches with a resolution of 2,520 x 1,080 pixels, giving users a more traditional smartphone experience when the device is closed.

Samsung’s foldable phones now face stronger competition, especially as interest grows around more compact folding devices such as the Apple iPhone Duo. Even so, the larger book-style foldable format still has a clear advantage for users who want more screen space. With its expansive inner display, the Samsung W27 could appeal to professionals, power users, and luxury smartphone buyers who value both productivity and design.

The W-series has always been positioned as something more exclusive than Samsung’s standard foldables. Rather than simply offering new hardware, these models are designed to feel more premium, often with unique color options and refined materials. The leaked Samsung W27 image suggests that Samsung will continue that approach with a bold blue-and-gold design aimed at buyers who want a phone that stands out.

Although many details remain unknown, the Samsung W27 already looks like one of the most stylish foldable phones in Samsung’s upcoming lineup. If it launches with hardware similar to the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and adds a more luxurious finish, it could become one of the most desirable foldable smartphones in China.

For now, the Samsung W27 remains unofficial. But based on the leaked image and Samsung’s previous launch pattern, more information may surface soon. If the rumors are accurate, Samsung’s next luxury foldable could combine flagship performance, a large multitasking-friendly display, fast charging, a slim body, and a striking premium design built for the high-end market.
