Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Fold8 Wide, and Z Flip8 Prices Leak Ahead of Launch
Samsung’s next wave of foldable phones is getting closer, and a fresh pricing leak suggests the company’s 2026 foldable lineup could be noticeably more expensive than last year’s models.
The Galaxy Z Flip8, Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide, and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra are expected to launch at the next Galaxy Unpacked event on Wednesday, July 22. While Samsung has not officially confirmed pricing yet, newly surfaced European price details point to higher starting costs across the lineup, especially for buyers who want more storage.
One of the biggest changes this year appears to be Samsung’s branding strategy. The company is reportedly introducing the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra as its premium foldable flagship, positioning it above the new Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide. This suggests Samsung may be trying to create a clearer split between its most advanced foldable and a slightly more affordable large-screen model.
According to the leaked information, the Galaxy Z Flip8 with 256 GB of storage will start at €1,299 in Europe. That would make it €100 more expensive than the previous generation at launch. The 512 GB version is expected to cost €1,499, which would represent an even larger year-over-year increase.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra is expected to sit at the top of the lineup, with a starting price of €2,199 for the 256 GB model. The 512 GB version may cost €2,399, while the 1 TB edition could reach €2,799. If accurate, that would make Samsung’s most premium foldable significantly more expensive than last year’s Galaxy Z Fold model.
The new Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide is rumored to be priced €200 lower than the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra across all storage options. The 256 GB version is expected to cost €1,999, while the 512 GB model may be priced at €2,199. The 1 TB version could cost €2,599.
The lower price of the Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide may come with a few compromises. Reports suggest it could feature smaller displays and may not include a telephoto camera, helping Samsung separate it from the more expensive Ultra model.
Here are the rumored European prices:
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8 256 GB: €1,299
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8 512 GB: €1,499
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra 256 GB: €2,199
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra 512 GB: €2,399
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra 1 TB: €2,799
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide 256 GB: €1,999
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide 512 GB: €2,199
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide 1 TB: €2,599
If these prices are correct, Samsung foldable phone buyers in Europe should expect higher costs in 2026, particularly for storage upgrades. The jump from 256 GB to 512 GB is reportedly now €200, compared with a smaller increase on previous models.
Even with the higher prices, Samsung’s new foldables are likely to attract strong attention. The Galaxy Z Flip8 should appeal to users looking for a compact clamshell foldable, while the Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide may target those who want a large foldable display at a slightly lower price. The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, meanwhile, appears designed for buyers who want Samsung’s most advanced foldable experience, regardless of price.
As always with early pricing leaks, these figures should be treated as unofficial until Samsung confirms them at launch. Still, if the information is accurate, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra could become one of Samsung’s most expensive foldable phones yet.
