GMKtec EVO-X3 Mini PC Arrives With Ryzen AI Max+ 395, 128GB Memory Support, and Serious Local AI Power
GMKtec is expanding its high-performance mini PC lineup with the EVO-X3, a compact desktop system built for users who want powerful computing, local AI processing, and flexible connectivity in a space-saving design. Despite its small footprint, this mini PC is designed to handle demanding workloads, from AI inference and content creation to 3D rendering and gaming.
At the heart of the GMKtec EVO-X3 is AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ 395, a flagship Zen 5-based processor from the Strix Halo family. This chip features 16 cores and 32 threads, giving the mini PC a level of CPU performance normally associated with much larger desktop systems. For professionals, developers, creators, and enthusiasts, that means faster multitasking, stronger productivity performance, and smoother handling of heavy applications.
One of the biggest highlights of the EVO-X3 is its AI capability. The Ryzen AI Max+ 395 combines CPU, GPU, and NPU resources to deliver up to 126 TOPS of AI performance. This makes the system suitable for running local AI workloads, including large language models, AI assistants, and other inference tasks without relying heavily on cloud services.
GMKtec is also including its 24/7 AI Agent, called GMKtec Claw+Wrangler. The goal is to make local AI more practical by reducing cloud dependency and allowing users to run AI tasks directly on the device. For users concerned about privacy, latency, or internet availability, this local-first approach could be one of the EVO-X3’s strongest selling points.
Graphics performance is another major part of the package. The Ryzen AI Max+ 395 includes Radeon 8060S integrated graphics, one of the most powerful iGPUs currently available in the mainstream PC market. It is designed to support graphically intensive workloads such as light-to-moderate gaming, video editing, 3D rendering, and GPU-accelerated applications.
For users who need even more graphics power, the EVO-X3 includes an OCuLink port running in PCIe 4.0 x4 mode. This allows the mini PC to connect to an external graphics card, including modern RTX 40-series and RTX 50-series GPUs. While PCIe 4.0 x4 bandwidth can limit the full potential of high-end desktop GPUs, the feature still gives users a useful upgrade path for gaming, rendering, AI acceleration, and other GPU-heavy tasks.
Storage and memory options are equally strong. The system supports up to 128GB of LPDDR5X memory running at 8000 MT/s, giving it enough RAM for large AI models, creative workloads, development environments, and serious multitasking. For storage, the EVO-X3 includes dual M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4 SSD slots with support for up to 16TB of total capacity.
Connectivity is another area where the EVO-X3 is built to compete with larger desktops. The mini PC includes WiFi, Bluetooth 5.4, HDMI 2.1, and USB4. USB4 support adds flexibility for high-speed data transfer, display output, and docking setups. The system also supports 100W power delivery, making it a more versatile option for modern workspaces.
The EVO-X3 uses a slim vertical tower design, helping it take up less space on a desk while still offering a high-performance hardware configuration. This makes it appealing for users who want a clean setup without sacrificing computing power. It could fit well in home offices, creator studios, AI development setups, or compact gaming stations.
GMKtec plans to launch the EVO-X3 on July 6, 2026, through its official store. The mini PC will be offered in two configurations:
128GB memory with 2TB storage: $3,600
128GB memory with 4TB storage: $3,849
With its Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor, Radeon 8060S graphics, local AI features, OCuLink expansion, USB4 connectivity, and up to 128GB of memory, the GMKtec EVO-X3 is shaping up to be one of the most capable mini PCs aimed at AI users, creators, and performance-focused buyers. It is compact, powerful, and clearly designed for the growing demand for desktop-class performance in smaller machines.
