Samsung W27 debuts as an ultra-premium foldable with flagship cameras and a higher price
Samsung has introduced the W27 in China, adding a new luxury foldable to its premium W series lineup. Built for buyers who want a more exclusive version of Samsung’s book-style foldable design, the W27 combines high-end hardware, a refined look, and top-tier storage options.
One of the biggest highlights is the camera system. The Samsung W27 features a 200 MP primary camera, giving it a flagship-level main sensor designed for detailed shots and improved clarity. It is joined by a 50 MP ultra-wide camera and a 10 MP telephoto lens, offering users a versatile setup for landscapes, portraits, zoom photos, and everyday shooting.
For selfies and video calls, Samsung includes two 10 MP front-facing cameras. This dual selfie camera setup helps keep the device practical whether it is used folded or unfolded, making it suitable for social media, business calls, and content creation.

For users who need more space, Samsung is also offering a 1 TB version of the W27. This model is priced at CNY 21,999, or about $3,300. Compared with the equivalent W26 model, the new 1 TB variant costs CNY 3,000 more, equal to roughly $450.
Interestingly, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra is priced at CNY 19,799, or around $2,970, with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. That means the W27 commands a clear premium, likely due to its special positioning, exclusive design approach, and luxury appeal in the Chinese market.
With its 200 MP camera, generous RAM, large storage options, and refined foldable form factor, the Samsung W27 is clearly aimed at buyers who want more than a standard flagship. It is not just a productivity-focused foldable; it is positioned as a status device for users who value performance, design, and exclusivity.
