Raspberry Pi Unveils Next-Generation Single-Board Computer

The Raspberry Pi Foundation has introduced an updated version of its compact single-board computer, the Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W. This new iteration now comes with a pre-soldered GPIO header, enhancing its versatility right out of the box.

The updated Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W maintains the same core specifications as its predecessor, featuring the Raspberry Pi RP3A0 system-in-package (SiP) and a quad-core 64-bit ARM Cortex-A53 processor. It supports Bluetooth 4.2 and 2.4 GHz 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi connectivity.

Priced at $18 from Adafruit and £17 from The Pi Hut in the UK, the new model offers an easier setup experience for users. Additionally, The Pi Hut sells a version with a color-coded header for an additional £0.90. This feature makes the Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W more competitive against alternatives like the Banana Pi BPI M4 Zero.
