Peladn WO5 Mini PC Gets a Budget-Friendly AMD Ryzen 5 3500U Version
Peladn has expanded its WO5 mini PC lineup with a new affordable configuration powered by AMD hardware. The latest model uses the Ryzen 5 3500U, a Picasso-U series APU built on AMD’s Zen+ architecture. While this chip is no longer new, it still gives the compact desktop enough power for everyday computing, office work, web browsing, media streaming, and light multitasking.
The AMD Ryzen 5 3500U features four cores and eight threads, making it a practical choice for users who need a small, low-cost PC for basic productivity. It is not designed to compete with newer high-performance processors, but it remains capable for common home and business tasks. For students, remote workers, or anyone looking for a compact desktop replacement, this WO5 configuration could be an attractive budget option.
Graphics are handled by the integrated Radeon RX Vega 8 GPU. This built-in graphics solution can manage video playback, lightweight creative work, and some older or less demanding games. However, users should not expect smooth performance in modern AAA titles or heavy GPU-based workloads. The WO5 with Ryzen 5 3500U is clearly aimed at efficiency and affordability rather than gaming performance.
In terms of overall speed, this Ryzen 5 3500U model is expected to sit slightly below the WO5 version equipped with Intel’s Core 3 304 processor. Peladn also states that this configuration can run at up to a 15W TDP, which suggests modest thermal headroom. That means the cooling system is likely designed for quiet, low-power operation rather than sustained heavy workloads.
One of the biggest advantages of the new Peladn WO5 mini PC is its compact design. Mini PCs continue to grow in popularity because they take up very little desk space while still offering enough performance for daily use. This model should fit easily into small workspaces, home offices, classrooms, reception desks, or media setups.
Despite its small size, the WO5 includes a useful selection of ports. Connectivity options include multiple USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, USB 2.0, two HDMI 2.0 outputs, Gigabit Ethernet, USB-C, and a 3.5mm audio jack. With USB-C and dual HDMI available, the mini PC should support up to three displays, making it a flexible option for multitasking, productivity, and digital signage.
Wireless connectivity is also modern enough for everyday use. The system comes with WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0, allowing faster wireless networking and stable connections with accessories such as keyboards, mice, speakers, and headphones.
Another welcome feature is upgradeability. The new Ryzen 5 3500U version of the Peladn WO5 supports upgradeable RAM and storage, giving buyers room to improve performance later. In China, the base configuration includes 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD. That setup should be sufficient for basic use, though users who run many browser tabs or larger applications may eventually want to upgrade the memory or storage.
Pricing is one of the main highlights. The Ryzen 5 3500U Peladn WO5 mini PC is listed in China at CNY 1,549, which is approximately $230. At that price, it targets users who want an inexpensive mini desktop for practical daily tasks rather than a premium workstation or gaming machine.
Since other WO5 configurations have already appeared in international markets, there is a possibility that this Ryzen 5 3500U version could become available globally in the future. If it launches outside China at a similar price point, it could appeal to buyers looking for a compact, affordable AMD mini PC with solid connectivity, upgradeable hardware, and enough performance for everyday computing.
