Peladn WO5 Mini PC Gets a Major Upgrade With 12-Core Intel Core i5-13500H and Triple M.2 Storage
Peladn has expanded its budget-friendly WO5 mini PC lineup with a much more powerful configuration, giving compact PC buyers a tempting new option for productivity, multitasking, and home office setups. The latest version swaps in Intel’s Core i5-13500H, a 12-core Raptor Lake-H processor that brings a major performance boost compared with the previously introduced Ryzen 5 3500U model.
The Intel Core i5-13500H is built with 12 cores and 16 threads, combining four performance cores with eight efficiency cores. That hybrid design makes it far better suited for modern multitasking, office workloads, content management, browser-heavy use, light editing, and other moderately demanding tasks. Compared with the Ryzen 5 3500U version of the WO5, this new Intel-powered model should deliver a dramatically faster experience, especially in multi-threaded performance.
Performance-wise, the Core i5-13500H also puts this mini PC closer to newer mid-range compact systems using chips such as Intel’s Core Ultra 5 225H. It should also compete well against mini PCs equipped with AMD’s Ryzen 5 8640HS in CPU-heavy tasks. For users who want a small desktop that does not feel sluggish under pressure, this version of the WO5 looks like a significant step up.
One of the most interesting features of the new Peladn WO5 mini PC is its storage flexibility. The system comes with 16 GB of LPDDR4 memory and includes three M.2 slots, which is unusually generous for a compact and affordable mini PC.
The storage layout includes one M.2 2280 slot running at PCIe 4.0 x4 speeds, a second M.2 2280 slot using SATA 3, and a third M.2 2242 slot that also uses SATA 3. This gives users plenty of room to add multiple drives for operating systems, applications, media libraries, backups, or project files without relying heavily on external storage.
Connectivity is also solid for a small desktop PC. The WO5 includes dual HDMI 2.0 outputs, four USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, one USB Type-C port, 2.5G Ethernet, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. With dual HDMI, the machine can support multi-monitor setups, making it suitable for office desks, study spaces, digital signage, and compact workstation environments.
Graphics performance is where expectations need to stay realistic. The mini PC relies on Intel Iris Xe G7 integrated graphics rather than a dedicated GPU. That means it is fine for everyday display output, streaming, office apps, light creative workloads, and basic gaming, but it is not designed for demanding modern games or GPU-heavy production work. Users looking for high-end gaming or advanced 3D rendering will need a more powerful system with discrete graphics.
In China, the new Peladn WO5 mini PC is already available in two configurations. The model with 16 GB of RAM and no storage is priced at 2,699 yuan, which is roughly $405. The version with 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD costs 3,199 yuan, or about $478.
Considering Peladn has brought several of its compact PCs to markets outside China before, a wider international release for this Core i5-13500H WO5 model seems possible. If it launches globally at a competitive price, it could become an attractive option for buyers searching for an affordable mini PC with strong CPU performance, multiple SSD slots, and practical connectivity in a compact form factor.
