Next Month Sees the Debut of Khadas Mind: A Modular Mini PC, Potentially Powered by Lunar Lake Processor

Khadas is set to launch the next-generation Mind modular mini PC next month, equipped with “the latest Intel Core Ultra processor.” While the specific CPU lineup hasn’t been disclosed, the choice of words and the upcoming launch of Intel’s Lunar Lake series on September 3 suggest it may feature a Core Ultra 200 series processor.

The initial Khadas Mind mini PC launched with 13th-generation processors and did not receive an upgrade with either Meteor Lake or 14th-generation CPUs. Given the timing and the description of the processor as “latest,” it appears likely the new mini PC might utilize an Intel Core Ultra 200 series CPU.

The refreshed mini PC will retain the modularity and expandability that distinguished its predecessor. Initially, the first Khadas Mind could be enhanced with add-on modules. One module offered additional ports, speakers, a fingerprint sensor, and a volume knob, while another housed an Nvidia RTX 4060 Ti desktop GPU, using the Mind Link interface for high-speed data transfer up to 128 GT/s—four times faster than USB4 or Thunderbolt 4.

Portability remains another key feature, with the new unit expected to maintain the same compact and lightweight design of the original, which weighed 450 grams and measured 146×105×20 mm. It also includes a 5.55 Wh standby battery for seamless usage transitions. All these strengths from the first-gen version will persist in the upcoming model.
