New Xiaomi Smart Band Model Appears in Global Certification Listings
Xiaomi may already be preparing its next wearable for international markets. Shortly after introducing the Smart Band 10 Pro in China, a new Xiaomi device has surfaced in regulatory databases, hinting that another fitness tracker could be on the way.
The newly listed wearable carries the model number M2561B1 and has appeared with certification authorities in both Taiwan and Singapore. In both listings, the device is described as a “Smart Band,” strongly suggesting that it belongs to Xiaomi’s popular fitness tracker lineup rather than its broader smartwatch range.
This discovery comes at an interesting time. Xiaomi recently launched the Smart Band 10 Pro, but that model is currently limited to China. A wider global release is expected later this year, likely as a successor to the Smart Band 9 Pro. The appearance of another certified Smart Band model suggests Xiaomi’s wearable roadmap may include more than one upcoming international device.
Model numbers offer an important clue. Xiaomi uses M2551B1 and M2553B1 for the standard and NFC versions of the Smart Band 10 Pro. Since the newly certified M2561B1 follows a later numbering pattern, it could point to a next-generation wearable rather than another version of the Smart Band 10 Pro.
At the moment, Xiaomi has not confirmed the official retail name of the M2561B1. One possibility is that it may launch as part of the Xiaomi Smart Band 11 series. There is also speculation that it could become the Smart Band 11 Active, although the certification documents do not confirm that name.
Details about the device’s design, display, battery life, health sensors, and fitness tracking features remain unknown for now. However, Xiaomi’s Smart Band range has built a strong reputation for offering affordable fitness tracking, long battery life, sleep monitoring, heart rate tracking, and lightweight designs. If the M2561B1 is indeed a next-generation model, users can expect Xiaomi to focus on improved health features, better performance, and competitive pricing.
The certifications in Taiwan and Singapore are also important because they often appear before a product launches outside China. While they do not reveal a release date, they suggest Xiaomi is preparing the device for broader availability.
For now, the M2561B1 remains an unreleased Xiaomi Smart Band with an unknown final name. Still, its appearance in multiple certification databases is a strong sign that Xiaomi’s next fitness tracker is moving closer to launch. More details should emerge as the company prepares its upcoming wearable lineup for global markets.
