LG Unveils xboom Bluetooth Speakers Delivering Up to 220W of Sound and 35 Hours of Playtime

LG is expanding its xboom Bluetooth speaker lineup with new options designed for everything from living-room listening to all-day outdoor adventures. The latest models focus on what most people actually want in a portable speaker: big sound, long battery life, and durability you can trust when you’re away from home.

xboom Blast: rugged, loud, and built for the outdoors
The new xboom Blast is positioned as the go-anywhere choice for outdoor use, whether you’re heading to a beach party, planning a camping weekend, or just want a tough speaker that can handle bumps along the way. LG is leaning heavily into durability here, with a design that meets military-grade toughness standards, plus protective edge bumpers to help guard against accidental drops and knocks.

Despite being rugged, the Blast doesn’t compromise on power. It carries a 99Wh battery and is designed to deliver up to 35 hours of continuous playback. When running on battery, it can push up to 220W of output, making it a strong fit for open spaces where smaller speakers tend to get drowned out.

To help the sound carry outdoors, the xboom Blast uses three passive radiators that are intended to create a wider, more expansive soundscape—useful for gatherings where people are spread out instead of sitting right next to the speaker.

LG also includes a practical detail that outdoor users will appreciate: a side rope handle made for carrying the speaker vertically. That makes it easier to maneuver through crowds or transport it comfortably at campsites without feeling awkward or bulky.

xboom Mini: compact “cube” style with versatile placement
For buyers who prefer a smaller Bluetooth speaker with a home-friendly look, LG introduced the xboom Mini. It features a modern cube-style design meant to blend naturally into everyday spaces like kitchens, patios, or shelves, without looking like a piece of gear you only bring outdoors.

Even with its compact size, the xboom Mini is built for portability and flexibility. It offers up to 10 hours of playback and uses a feature called Sound Field Enhance to help maintain clarity in open environments, which is especially useful if you’re listening outside on a patio or in a more spacious room.

Durability is still part of the design, too. The Mini is IP67 certified for water and dust resistance, making it a practical pick for poolside use, outdoor cooking areas, and travel. LG also adds a Magic Strap and a tripod mount, giving you multiple ways to place it—set it on a shelf indoors, hang it up outside, or mount it for better positioning.

With the xboom Blast and xboom Mini, LG is clearly targeting two popular Bluetooth speaker needs: high-power outdoor sound with serious durability, and a compact, stylish speaker that still holds up when you take it outside.
