LG is expanding its xboom Bluetooth speaker lineup with new models designed for louder sound, longer battery life, and more durable builds—especially for people who like to take their music outdoors. The latest additions include the rugged xboom Blast, plus two smaller options, the xboom Mini and xboom Rock, aimed at flexible everyday listening.
The xboom Blast is clearly built for outdoor use, whether you’re heading to a beach party, setting up at a backyard gathering, or packing for a camping trip. LG pairs a big sound profile with durability features, positioning it as a go-anywhere Bluetooth speaker that can handle rougher environments. It shares a 99Wh battery with the xboom Stage 501, but LG says the Blast can deliver up to 35 hours of continuous playback. Even when running on battery, it can push up to 220W of output, which is a major selling point for anyone who wants strong volume without being tethered to a power outlet.
To help the Blast project sound more effectively in open outdoor spaces, LG built it with three passive radiators intended to create a wider, more immersive soundscape. On the durability side, the speaker is made to meet military-grade toughness standards and includes protective edge bumpers to reduce damage from bumps and drops. There’s also a practical side rope handle designed for carrying the speaker vertically, which can be a big comfort upgrade when you’re moving through crowded areas like beach walkways, festivals, or campsites.
For listeners who want something more compact, LG also introduced the xboom Mini and xboom Rock, offering smaller form factors that still focus on portability and everyday convenience.
The xboom Mini stands out with a stylish cube-like design that’s meant to blend into home spaces such as kitchens, patios, or shelves without looking like bulky audio gear. Even with its smaller footprint, it’s rated for up to 10 hours of battery life and includes a feature called Sound Field Enhance, designed to keep audio clear and balanced in open areas where sound can easily feel thin or dispersed. The Mini is also IP67 certified for water and dust resistance, making it a strong pick for outdoor use, poolside listening, or unpredictable weather.
LG adds extra flexibility with thoughtful mounting options, including a Magic Strap and a tripod mount. That means the speaker can sit neatly indoors, hang from a hook or bag outdoors, or be positioned on a stand for better sound placement—ideal for small gatherings, travel, or casual listening around the house.
With the new xboom Blast, xboom Mini, and xboom Rock, LG is covering multiple needs in the Bluetooth speaker market: high-power outdoor audio, rugged durability, and compact speakers that fit naturally into daily life.
