Kingdom Come Salvation Trademark May Reveal Warhorse Studios’ Next Historical RPG
Warhorse Studios may have just offered the first major clue about the future of its acclaimed historical RPG franchise. A new European trademark filing for “Kingdom Come Salvation” has surfaced, sparking speculation that this could be the title of the next entry in the Kingdom Come series.
The trademark application was filed with the European Union Intellectual Property Office on July 23, with Warhorse Studios listed as the owner. The filing also includes a logo that appears to use typography similar to the branding seen in Kingdom Come: Deliverance and its sequel, making the connection to the franchise hard to ignore.
While Warhorse has not officially announced Kingdom Come Salvation, the timing of the trademark is notable. In May, the Czech developer confirmed that it was working on “a new Kingdom Come adventure,” alongside its separate open-world Middle-earth RPG project. The studio has not yet revealed whether this newly registered name is tied to that upcoming Kingdom Come game, and details such as the story, main character, setting, and platforms remain unknown.
The trademark covers computer game software as well as several entertainment-related services. Some of the wording mentions online games and systems for matching users with games, which has led to early speculation about possible multiplayer or cooperative features. However, trademark filings often use broad language to protect a wide range of potential uses. For now, there is no confirmation that Kingdom Come Salvation will include online play.
One of the most interesting details is the absence of “Deliverance” in the title. If Kingdom Come Salvation is indeed the next major game in the series, it could suggest a new chapter for the franchise rather than a direct continuation using the same subtitle. It may point to a fresh storyline, a different protagonist, or a new thematic focus. Still, it is also possible that the name is being registered for another product, an expansion, or even as a placeholder during development.
Warhorse Studios has built a strong reputation for its grounded approach to medieval role-playing. Kingdom Come: Deliverance stood out for its realistic combat, historically inspired world, and emphasis on immersion rather than fantasy. Because of that, any hint of a new Kingdom Come game is likely to attract attention from RPG fans eager for another deep and authentic medieval experience.
There is also a potential release window to consider. Warhorse communications director Tobias Stolz-Zwilling previously suggested that the studio hoped to launch the next Kingdom Come game during the following financial year, saying that if everything goes according to plan, players would not have to wait seven years for another installment.
If that schedule remains accurate, the next Kingdom Come project could arrive sometime between April 2027 and March 2028. Until Warhorse makes an official announcement, Kingdom Come Salvation remains an unconfirmed but intriguing possibility.
For now, the trademark filing gives fans plenty to discuss. Whether it becomes the official title of the next Kingdom Come RPG or turns out to be connected to something else, it is clear that Warhorse Studios is not finished with its medieval world.
