JGINYUE has introduced a new AMD B650 chipset-based add-in card that gives PC builders a simple way to expand system connectivity without replacing their motherboard. Priced at 388 yuan, or around $58, the expansion card brings multiple storage, networking, and USB options to systems with limited onboard features.
The new JGINYUE B650 AIC follows a similar concept seen from other recent B650-based expansion cards, turning a PCIe slot into a hub for additional high-speed connections. Instead of requiring users to upgrade to a newer or more feature-rich motherboard, the card adds extra chipset functionality through a standard PCIe expansion slot.
One of the main highlights of the JGINYUE B650 add-in card is its support for four M.2 slots, allowing users to install multiple NVMe SSDs. This makes it especially useful for content creators, gamers, and workstation users who need more high-speed storage but have already used the M.2 slots available on their motherboard.
The card also includes a 10 Gbps USB Type-C port, two USB 3.0 Type-A ports, and a 2.5G LAN port. With these features, the expansion card can improve both storage flexibility and external connectivity in a single upgrade. JGINYUE has also confirmed that a faster 20 Gbps version is planned for release later.
Compared with earlier development versions, the retail model includes a few practical design changes. One of the most noticeable additions is a 4-pin fan header. However, this header does not support fan speed control, so users should not expect dynamic adjustment through the card itself.
To help with cooling, JGINYUE has added two mounting standoffs on the PCB, allowing users to install an optional 40mm fan directly onto the card. The fan is not included in the package, so buyers who want active cooling will need to purchase one separately. This could be useful for users planning to populate all four M.2 slots with fast NVMe SSDs, as high-performance drives can generate significant heat under heavy workloads.
Another interesting feature is the inclusion of a 6-pin PCIe power connector. While this may seem unusual for this type of expansion card, JGINYUE says the connector is designed to provide auxiliary power for USB connectivity. The company recommends connecting it even if the card is being used primarily for M.2 SSDs, as it provides additional power headroom and improves overall stability.
At around $58, the JGINYUE B650 AIC could be an appealing option for PC users who want to add more NVMe storage, faster USB access, and 2.5G networking without investing in a new motherboard. It may be particularly attractive for budget builders, home server users, and enthusiasts looking to extend the life of an existing AMD-based system.
With four M.2 slots, USB Type-C connectivity, optional fan support, and onboard 2.5G LAN, JGINYUE’s AMD B650 expansion card offers a compact and affordable way to boost a desktop PC’s expansion capabilities.
