HWiNFO Levels Up: Expanded Support Arrives for AMD’s Next‑Gen Platforms and Intel Nova Lake‑S

HWInfo v8.32 brings early support for AMD’s next-gen platforms and Intel’s Nova Lake-S, plus official recognition for the newly launched Radeon RX 7700. For PC enthusiasts, overclockers, and system builders, that means more accurate hardware detection and sensor readouts as the next wave of CPUs and GPUs approaches.

The latest release confirms enhanced support for AMD’s upcoming desktop ecosystem. While AMD’s next-gen refers to platforms expected to debut alongside Zen 6, the CPUs themselves aren’t slated to arrive until the second half of 2026. Zen 6 will continue to use the AM5 socket, and current expectations point to new 900-series chipsets such as X970/X970E, B950/B950E, and B940. Early monitoring support helps ensure smooth compatibility and reliable telemetry once these boards and processors hit the market.

Intel’s Nova Lake-S also gets improved detection in HWInfo v8.32. This desktop family is designed for the LGA 1954 socket and is similarly anticipated in the second half of 2026. Nova Lake-S is expected to push core counts higher, and the added HWInfo support should translate to correct reporting for clocks, temperatures, and power data as engineering samples and retail chips appear.

On the GPU side, HWInfo now officially recognizes the AMD Radeon RX 7700. Built on the RDNA 3 architecture, the RX 7700 is a trimmed-down counterpart to the RX 7700 XT, featuring 2,560 shaders compared to 3,456 on the XT. To address growing demand for higher VRAM capacities, the RX 7700 comes equipped with 16 GB of GDDR6 on a wider 256-bit memory bus, giving it added breathing room in modern games and creative workloads.

Why this matters: early software support is crucial for builders and power users who want dependable diagnostics, tuning, and stability testing from day one. With HWInfo v8.32, the groundwork is in place for AMD’s Zen 6 platforms and Intel’s Nova Lake-S, while owners of the RX 7700 can expect clean, accurate reporting right now.
