GMKtec Unveils EVO-T2 Mini PC on March 12, Featuring Intel Core Ultra X9 388H Power and Up to 128GB RAM

GMKtec is about to roll out its most powerful mini PC yet, and it’s built around Intel’s flagship Panther Lake platform. Officially named the GMKtec EVO-T2, this compact workstation-class system is designed to deliver serious AI performance, strong integrated graphics, and expansion options that are rarely seen in a mini PC.

After teasing a “2nd gen” AI workstation mini PC capable of reaching 180 AI TOPs, GMKtec has now confirmed the full EVO-T2 specs ahead of its launch tomorrow. The system was previously shown during the Panther Lake debut at CES, but this announcement fills in the details that performance-focused buyers actually care about: CPU choices, graphics, memory ceilings, storage support, networking, and power modes.

At the heart of the EVO-T2 are two Panther Lake processor configurations: the Intel Core Ultra X7 358H or the higher-end Core Ultra X9 388H. Both options come in a 16-core, 16-thread layout, targeting users who want a small PC for demanding productivity, content creation, multitasking, and local AI workloads. A major highlight is the integrated Xe3-based graphics, listed as 12 Xe3 cores under the Arc B390 name. This iGPU is positioned to handle gaming and GPU-accelerated work without requiring a discrete graphics card, while also contributing heavily to the system’s AI throughput—up to 122 AI TOPs from the integrated graphics portion alone, helping the overall platform reach that 180 AI TOPs figure GMKtec is promoting.

Memory and storage are equally ambitious for such a small machine. GMKtec says the EVO-T2 will be offered in multiple memory configurations, scaling all the way up to 128GB of LPDDR5X. On the storage side, it supports up to 16TB total capacity and includes both PCIe Gen 5.0 and PCIe Gen 4.0 NVMe interfaces, giving buyers a path to very fast SSD speeds as well as large local storage for games, media projects, or AI datasets.

Connectivity is another area where the EVO-T2 stands out versus typical mini PCs. It includes dual LAN ports—one 10GbE and one 2.5GbE—making it appealing for creators working with large files, enthusiasts running a home lab, or anyone who wants faster wired networking without adapters. There’s also an OCuLink port, which opens the door to connecting an external GPU for more demanding games or GPU-heavy professional workloads. For peripherals and modern displays, the system includes USB4 ports with up to 100W Power Delivery support, enabling simpler desk setups and fewer power bricks.

Despite its high-end hardware, GMKtec is also leaning into efficiency. The EVO-T2 is rated for up to 80W, and it includes a balanced 45W mode for lighter workloads or lower power draw. That flexibility can be useful for users who want maximum performance when needed, but quieter and more efficient behavior during everyday tasks.

GMKtec is expected to share final pricing and availability details tomorrow alongside the official launch. With Panther Lake performance, high AI TOPs, fast storage options, 10GbE networking, and OCuLink expansion in a mini PC form factor, the EVO-T2 is shaping up to be a compelling option for anyone shopping for a powerful compact desktop in 2026.
