NVIDIA RTX 50 Series GPU Prices May Rise Again as Supply Tightens
NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 50 series graphics cards could become more expensive soon, with new information pointing to fresh price increases across several models. The latest update suggests that limited supply is putting pressure on board partners, especially for higher-performance GPUs, and buyers may see steeper retail prices as a result.
Several NVIDIA add-in board partners have reportedly already adjusted pricing for RTX 50 series graphics cards. Brands such as ASUS, GALAX, MSI, GIGABYTE, Inno3D, and Colorful are among the names said to be affected, with price hikes impacting multiple GeForce RTX 50 models.
The biggest change appears to involve the Colorful GeForce RTX 5080. Earlier reports suggested the card could rise by around 500 yuan, equal to roughly $74. However, the newest update now points to a larger increase of around 800 yuan, or about $119. If this adjustment reaches retail channels, the RTX 5080 could become noticeably more expensive for gamers, creators, and PC builders looking to upgrade.
The GeForce RTX 5070 Ti may also see a price increase, though the exact situation remains unclear. Current information suggests a rise of around 100 to 150 yuan, or approximately $14 to $22. It is not yet confirmed whether this is a revised price adjustment or an additional increase on top of earlier figures.
For the GeForce RTX 5070, the expected price hike is said to be between 200 and 300 yuan, which works out to around $30 to $44. This lines up with previous reports and suggests that the RTX 5070 may be one of the more consistently affected models in the current pricing shift.
Supply appears to be a major factor behind these changes. GIGABYTE has reportedly been dealing with limited inventory for higher-performance RTX 50 series products, including the GeForce RTX 5070. The company’s September supply is expected to drop by as much as 30% compared to August, which could further tighten availability and push prices higher.
GIGABYTE had already been linked to GPU price increases of up to $30, though earlier information mainly focused on the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB. With new reports now pointing to RTX 5070 supply issues, buyers may face higher prices across a broader range of NVIDIA’s latest-generation graphics cards.
If supply continues to fall while demand remains strong, retailers may have little reason to discount RTX 50 series GPUs in the near term. This could be frustrating for PC gamers who were waiting for prices to stabilize after launch. The RTX 5070 and RTX 5080 are especially important models in NVIDIA’s lineup, targeting users who want strong gaming performance without necessarily stepping up to the most expensive flagship cards.
For anyone planning a new gaming PC build or graphics card upgrade, the current market may require closer monitoring. Prices for the RTX 50 series could vary significantly depending on brand, region, and inventory levels.
