GALAX has officially confirmed it is shutting down its global operations, marking the end of an era for a long-running graphics card and PC hardware brand. With the company’s previous organizational structure now closed and its worldwide team dismissed, Palit will take over full control of the GALAX brand moving forward.
In a customer notice, it was stated that Palit has assumed complete responsibility for all operations, activities, and commitments tied to the GALAX name. Both companies are NVIDIA-authorized partners, which means existing product support should remain legitimate and uninterrupted despite the management change. From this point on, any warranty questions, service requests, or RMA processes for GALAX products will be handled exclusively through Palit’s official support channels.
For many PC builders and GPU enthusiasts, the news lands hard because GALAX has been part of the graphics card scene for decades. Founded in 1994 in Hong Kong as a computer hardware manufacturer, the company grew into a recognizable global player. The GALAX name became well-known across multiple regions, while its sister brand KFA2 served parts of the European market.
GALAX also built a particularly strong presence in Brazil, where local enthusiasts spent years spotlighting the brand’s hardware through hands-on testing, modifications, and engineering-focused content. That kind of community attention helped cement GALAX as more than just another board partner—it became a familiar name among people who care deeply about performance tuning and custom PC culture.
Among its most celebrated products, GALAX graphics cards earned a reputation for ambitious designs aimed at enthusiasts, especially within the brand’s Hall of Fame (HOF) lineup. The HOF series became widely associated with premium cooling, distinctive PCB engineering, and overclocking potential—traits that made these cards popular with users chasing maximum performance.
With Palit now taking the reins, GALAX-branded GPU owners are being directed to Palit for ongoing customer care. While it’s the end of GALAX as an independent operation, the transition is intended to keep support and service accessible for existing customers.
The closure of GALAX’s global operations is another reminder of how quickly the GPU industry can change—even for established names. For longtime followers of the brand, it’s a significant farewell to a company that helped shape the enthusiast graphics card market for years.
