DJI Hints at “Romo 2” Robot Vacuum Launching This May

DJI is wasting no time expanding its growing robot vacuum lineup. After introducing the first DJI Romo in late 2025, the company is already building anticipation for a follow-up model, teasing what appears to be the DJI Romo 2, also described as the Romo 2nd Generation, with a planned reveal set for May 2026.

So far, DJI has only shared a brief teaser on Chinese social media, keeping key details under wraps. There’s no official word yet on exact availability dates, pricing, design changes, or new cleaning features. DJI also hasn’t confirmed where the next-generation Romo will launch first, or whether it will be released internationally at the same time.

That said, there are strong signs a broader rollout could happen soon after the China debut. The original Romo series expanded to global markets roughly two months after launching in China. If DJI follows the same playbook with the Romo 2, an international release looks quite possible shortly after the May 2026 announcement.

For now, the main takeaway is clear: DJI’s robot vacuum plans are accelerating, and a second-generation DJI Romo robot vacuum is officially on the horizon for May 2026.
