Palit has officially cleared up the recent confusion surrounding Galax, confirming that the well-known graphics card brand is not shutting down and will continue releasing new GPUs as normal.
The rumors started after Galax Brazil published (and later deleted) a message advising customers to route future RMA and warranty requests through Palit. That single support-related update quickly snowballed into wider speculation that Galax was exiting the GPU market entirely after three decades in the business. Some reports even compared the situation to other high-profile departures from the graphics card space. But according to Palit, that interpretation was incorrect.
What’s actually happening is an internal restructuring aimed at streamlining operations. Rather than closing the Galax brand, Palit is centralizing brand management and oversight at its headquarters in Taiwan. In other words, Galax will keep operating, but with management now working under Palit’s direct control as part of a planned global integration strategy.
In a statement dated April 29, 2026, Palit emphasized that Galax remains fully active and committed to developing, producing, and supporting its high-performance hardware. The company described the changes as part of a pre-planned initiative designed to improve operational efficiency and strengthen coordination across teams.
Palit also confirmed that the broader Galax lineup isn’t going anywhere, including both mainstream models and enthusiast-focused products. As part of the restructuring, Palit is consolidating management of the GALAX, KFA2, and the flagship HOF (Hall of Fame) branding under the Palit Group umbrella at its Taiwan headquarters.
Galax echoed the same message in its own statement that day, calling it “business as usual.” The company reiterated that it will continue developing, producing, and supporting its award-winning high-performance hardware, while also reminding customers that Galax has been part of the Palit Group since 2007.
That history is important context. While Palit has owned Galax since 2007, Galax has long operated with a distinct identity and a dedicated following—especially among PC builders and overclocking enthusiasts drawn to its Hall of Fame graphics cards, known for premium design and high overclocking headroom. The Galax product approach has typically complemented Palit’s own GPU offerings rather than replacing them.
The takeaway for PC gamers and anyone planning a graphics card upgrade is straightforward: Galax isn’t going away. The brand will continue to ship GPUs and provide support, while behind the scenes Palit works to unify management and improve efficiency. If you’re a Galax owner worried about warranty coverage or future releases, Palit and Galax are both saying the same thing: operations are continuing as normal.
