A US retailer has recently listed three variants of the Radeon RX 9060 XT, giving us a sneak peek into their upcoming prices. As we eagerly await the official launch, the Californian store, Central Computers, has showcased ASRock’s RX 9060 XT models—two from the Steel Legend series and one from the Challenger series.
The ASRock RX 9060 XT models are set at intriguing price points. The Challenger 8 GB version comes in at $319, while the 16 GB editions are priced at $369 and $389 for the Challenger and Steel Legend respectively. The listings hint at a possible trend in pricing as we edge closer to seeing these graphics cards hit the shelves.
Though images are yet to be uploaded and sales remain embargoed, you can still catch a glimpse of the designs via ASRock’s official reveal. The Challenger series features a sleek dual-fan setup, whereas the Steel Legend impresses with a triple-fan design, a stylish white shroud, and vibrant RGB lighting.
In terms of performance, both RX 9060 XT 8 GB and 16 GB from the Challenger series share a 3290 MHz boost clock. Meanwhile, the Steel Legend 16 GB model offers a slightly enhanced clock speed of 3320 MHz. Designed with factory overclocking, these models are priced higher than the base versions, which feature a 3.13 GHz boost frequency.
The initial launch prices were $299 for the 8 GB and $349 for the 16 GB models, but the overclocked versions demand an additional $20-$40. It remains to be seen if these prices will hold once the cards are officially released.
Recent trends in GPU launches have shown a pattern of prices exceeding announced MSRPs, with both AMD and NVIDIA struggling to meet initial pricing expectations. The RX 9060 series, positioned as an affordable option under $400, faces the challenge of maintaining its price competitiveness, particularly the 16 GB version, which seems poised to breach that threshold.
